Tujuan dari dokumen ini yaitu menyediakan SOP untuk keamanan penggunaan autoklaf. Sterilisasi dengan autoklaf merupakan proses membunuh mikroorganisme dan kontaminasi pada alat yang akan digunakan pada Biosafety Cabinet level 1,2, dan 3 serta limbah biohazard.
Bahaya
Autoklaf menggunakan tekanan dan suhu tinggi untuk sterilisasi. Resiko keselamatan yang berpotensi terjadi antara lain.
• Terpaparnya panas hingga terbakarnya kulit akibat dari material panas serta dinding dan pintu autoklaf.
• Uap panas dari dalam autoklaf dan matrial yang disterilisasi dapat menghasilkan uap panas.
• Cairan yang mendidih dan tumpah di dalam autoklaf.
• Tangan dan lengan dapat terluka bakar terkena uap dari dalam autoklaf atau panas dari dinding dan pintu autoklaf.
• Tubuh terluka jika terjadi ledakan autoklaf.

(EN) The BIOHAZARD project was an introduction to a larger event which the META Spaţiu contemporary art gallery prepares for this year – NEW SPECIES. In a period in which the only constant was chaos, volatility, and the unpredictable, BIOHAZARD took place in Timişoara, in multiple spaces, between August and October 2020, incl. artists Alexandra Boaru, Richard Kitta, Michael Koch, Mălina Ionescu & Andreea Medar, revoltaire/kinema ikon, Silvia Moldovan, Cătălin Petrişor, Marilena Preda-Sânc. The main purpose was to adapt/readapt and calibrate/recalibrate to the context of the pandemic, which questioned the concept of exhibit itself and the relationship between the artist and the audience. Starting from this idea, the curatorial discourse left any settled form and preestablished agenda behind and became a means to mediate and negotiate the relationship between the artists and the exhibit spaces, between the interventions and the audience, a communicative platform oriented towards anthropocentrism and the disastrous effects of the human on the natural balance and life itself. (RO) Proiectul BIOHAZARD a fost un prim capitol introductiv într-un eveniment mai mare pe care galeria de artă contemporană META Spațiu îl pregătește pentru anul acesta – NEW SPECIES. Suprapus peste o perioadă în care singura constantă a fost haosul, volatilitatea și neprevăzutul, BIOHAZARD s-a desfășurat în mai multe spații din Timișoara în perioada august – octombrie 2020, cu participarea artiștilor Alexandra Boaru, Richard Kitta, Michael Koch, Mălina Ionescu & Andreea Medar, revoltaire / kinema ikon, Silvia Moldovan, Cătălin Petrișor, Marilena Preda-Sânc. Scopul principal a fost unul de adaptare/readaptare și calibrare/recalibrare la condițiile pandemice care au pus sub semnul întrebării însăși conceptul de expoziție și cel al relației dintre artist și public. Plecând de la această idee, discursul curatorial a ieșit de sub sfera calcifierii și a prestabilitului, și a devenit, mai degrabă, un mijloc de mediere și negociere între artiști și spațiile de expunere, între intervențiile realizate și public, o platformă de comunicare și discuție orientată spre antropocentrism și efectele dezastruoase ale omului asupra echilibrului natural, precum și a vieții însăși. The recent case of outbreak of the animal foot and mouth disease in august 2007 in the UK, linked with the potential breaches of biosecurity at the neighbour Pirbright site, shows the necessity for authorities to manage data that will be helpful both for setting priorities for inspections and legal compliance, and for the information of the public and the decision makers. To generalize ideas and principles of information treatment described in this paper, prevention from accidental releases can be facilitated. A unique method to quantify the risk of the contained use of pathogenic organisms was developed which is easy to use, comprehensible, reproducible, and allows for the automated import of data, risk calculation and export to GIS-visualization tools. The data exchange automation was implemented between biological risk management data of the Swiss federal information system (ECOGEN) and the Geneva cantonal information system for the industrial environment (SI-GEI) which is used to control behavior of companies subjected to environmental regulations. Using adaptive sorting criteria, all the selected projects on the contained use of pathogens were submitted to risk calculations as part of the application of the Geneva risk project, called the Cantonal Risk Register (CRR), incorporating GIS (Geographical Information System) risk representation of chemical facilities and transportation roads.

This study was conducted to determine the concentration and frequency distribution of certain airborne micro-organisms on cattle farms and their potential health hazards to farm workers. The samples (60 air samples and 240 hand and nasal swabs from cattle farm workers) were collected from ten cattle farms (five dairy barns and five beef sheds) located in the Sharkia Governorate of Egypt. Air samples were collected for microbiological examination in liquid media using an all-glass impinger whereas those for fungal examination were placed on agar plates using slit air samplers (aeroscopes). The results showed that the overall means of total culturable bacterial and fungal counts were lower in the air of dairy cattle barns than in beef cattle sheds. Identification of the isolated bacteria revealed the recovery of the following species (from dairy cattle barns versus beef cattle sheds): Staphylococcus epidermidis (26.7% vs 36.7%), S. saprophyticus (20% vs 33.3%), S. aureus (10% vs 16.7%...
