Evolution of advanced manufacturing technologies and the new manufacturing paradigm has enriched the computer integrated manufacturing (CIM) methodology. The new advances have put more demands for CIM integration technology and associated supporting tools. One of these demands is to provide CIM systems with better software architecture, more flexible integration mechanisms, and powerful support platforms. In this paper, we present an integrating infrastructure for CIM implementation in manufacturing enterprises to form an integrated automation system. A research prototype of an integrating infrastructure has been developed for the development, integration, and operation of integrated CIM system. It is based on the client/server structure and employs object-oriented and agent technology. System openness, scalability, and maintenance are ensured by conforming to international standards and by using effective system design software and management tools.

Through theoretical reflection on innovation, entrepreneurship and startups a relation with Public Relations is done in order to discover its aid on the development of the startup business. This paper is based on Pinchot and Pellman (2004); Fayet (2010); Scherer and Carlomagno (2009) studies on entrepreneurship and innovation concepts in addition to Ries (2012); Blank and Dorf (2014); Osterwalder and Pigneur (2011) on startups and business models. Regarding Public Relations the theories from Kusch (1997; 2009); Simões (1995; 2001; 2009); Fortes (2003; 2009) as and other authors to complement the research. To reach the objective of this paper on the Public Relations aid on the development of the startups business, a thorough research and interviews with a semi-structured itinerary of questions were made with Public-Relations professionals, so their real life experience could contribute to this paper. It was found that changes in the entrepreneurial scenario are necessary for the innovation to occur, and it is in this context where startups are inserted along with its development customers. Therefore, the Public Relations professional should be aware of these changes in order to execute its activities and understand those customers with excellence.

With new users come new requirements and needs for the software that we can’t always satisfy. Until now, the CmapTools architecture has been relatively closed to third party developers. In this paper we report on a new open architecture, KE (Knowledge Exchange Architecture), that provides the data and procedural framework to allow third party developers to design programs that interact with the CmapTools suite of programs. KEA consists of a portable, standard file format for data exchange (CXL), and a set of protocols for retrieving, storing, and manipulating Cmap information. We also describe how KEA was implemented and provide three sample client-server applications illustrating the steps we have taken toward the completion of this implementation. 1

A web application or web app is a computer program of the client-server in which client is run on the server. The client may include user interface and the client service logic. In this paper, a web application is presented by developing a sports event management platform for colleges by using java, JSP, XML. The application works on the module system. There are two modules which are user and admin module. Further, the user module was divided into student and teacher modules. An android application for user module was developed in order to create a user-friendly environment. This application creates an ease atmosphere to keep up the sports event at colleges. The admin module consists of multiple operations where they will add the teacher who is answerable for the particular event, add events going down at completely different colleges, add students and so on. The Teacher may add the student, view the results, the student will view results, can register for event they're curious about and can also post their questions. This paper provides the fortunate demonstration of a sports event management platform for colleges through an web app and an android app.

This paper discusses a non-traditional course in computer networking. The course is a laboratory course with substantial hands-on experiences, which can help to prepare students for jobs in industry as soon as they graduate from an undergraduate institution. This course is not meant to replace the traditional network course but to supplement it by teaching how computer networks work in practice and by exploring new topics such as internetworking, high speed networking, client/server computing and security.

Dengan peringkat tersebut, Indonesia memiliki tingkat kepadatan aktivitas transportasi yang cukup tinggi, salah satu contohnya bandara. Bandara mengalami kasus antrean panjang saat masa liburan. Antrean panjang tidak bisa dihindari karena jumlah loket yang terbatas dengan pelanggan yang banyak serta interaksi pelanggan dan loket. Salah satu metode untuk mengurangi jumlah antrean yaitu menggunakan online check-in. Proyek ini akan membuat sebuah sistem online check-in bandara dengan fitur tambahan berupa bagdrop. Sistem akan terhubung dalam sebuah jaringan dengan koneksi client/server. Proyek nantinya akan diterapkan pada jaringan bandara terkait stakeholder. Agar proyek dapat berjalan sesuai dengan tujuan, diperlukan sebuah manajemen proyek yang mengatur proses pergerakan proyek. Manajemen ruang lingkup dan manajemen komunikasi diperlukan untuk mendukung keberhasilan pengerjaan proyek. PENDAHULUAN Indonesia merupakan negara dengan populasi keempat terbanyak di dunia. Jumlah populasi yang tinggi mempengaruhi aktivitas transportasi, baik laut, darat, maupun udara. Kepadatan aktivitas transportasi akan terasa ketika mendekati waktu libur nasional. Hampir seluruh transportasi akan mengalami kepadatan yang menimbulkan kasus. Bandara, sebagai contoh, mengalami kasus antrean panjang saat masa liburan. Antrean panjang tidak bisa dihindari dikarenakan jumlah counter yang terbatas dengan pelanggan yang banyak serta interaksi pelanggan dan counter. Selain itu, tidak bisa dipungkiri bahwa sistem dapat mengalami gangguan sewaktu-waktu. Gangguan sistem pelayanan merupakan salah satu penyebab dari pemanjangan antrean. Gangguan pada sistem dapat pula memberikan dampak lain, seperti ketidaksabaran pelanggan sehingga timbul kerusuhan dan keterlambatan penerbangan pesawat. Salah satu cara untuk mengurangi permasalahan ini yaitu pengurangan interaksi antara counter dan pelanggan, sehingga pelaksanaan check-in bisa berjalan dengan cepat. Produk yang akan dibuat ini merupakan sebuah sistem check-in bandara dengan self bagdrop. Agar pelaksanaan pembuatan sistem check-in dapat berjalan dengan baik, diperlukan sebuah perencanaan yang jelas dan terstruktur. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu manajemen proyek untuk mengatur jalannya proyek ini.
