The concept is a term of the common features of objects and events and can de-scribe them in general terms together under a common name in its simplest expression about threads associate with short syntax. Misconceptions are the concept of the indi-vidual is the real meaning except that personal accept. The concept of teaching social studies is rich in diversity. In this respect it is possible to common misconceptions in students. The aim of this study is determine the misconceptions of elementary school sixth grade students about the concepts of weather condition, climate, map, scale, geo-graphical position, specific position and math position and to demonstrate the effective-ness of the computer assisted instruction in overcoming these misconceptions. Partici-pants were the sixth grade students studying in four classes in an elementary school lo-cated in the center of Sivas. Two of the class experimental (n = 54) the other two control groups (n = 50) was generated. In the research, the non-equivalent control group design of the quasi-experimental model was employed as the research method. While comput-er-assisted instructional software were used in experimental group in order to remove students’ misconceptions regarding the concepts of weather condition, climate, map, scale, geographical position, specific position and math position, teaching based on the existing curriculum was used in the control group. To collect data in the research, con-cept and achievement test was used. The analysis of the pretest and posttest scores of experimental and control group students was used IBM SPSS 22 software The signifi-cance of the results was evaluated within 0.05 significance level. The data obtained was analyzed with two way analysis of variance and independent samples t test. It was con-cluded in the research that course software prepared based on computer assisted in-struction is more effective than the teaching based on the existing curriculum in the overcoming of their misconceptions regarding the concepts of weather condition, cli-mate, map, scale, geographical position, specific position and math position.

Este artículo recoge el proceso de generación de una asignatura Open Course Ware. Se pretende mostrar una visión general del proceso que pueda servir de referencia para otros casos similares. Para generar estos contenidos educativos se empleó el modelo ADDIE. Así, se presenta inicialmente el contexto de la asignatura y se introduce el proyecto OCW, analizando sus características específicas frente a otros entornos virtuales de aprendizaje (EVA). Posteriormente, se detalla su diseño, desarrollo e implementación. Finalmente se muestra el marco de referencia para evaluar este material didáctico, basado en plantillas de evaluación y análisis del tráfico web.
This paper presents the creation of a course as part of the Open Course Ware (OCW) project. It shows a general overview of the process and serves as reference for other similar cases. The creation of this instructional material followed the ADDIE model. So, the context of the course and the OCW project are introduced first, studying the limitations of OCW sites as virtual learning environments (VLE). In second place, the design, development and implementation are detailed. Finally, the paper shows the framework to evaluate this instructional material, based on surveys and statistics of website traffic.
