Database Management

This paper deals with memory management issues of robotics. In our proposal we break one of the major
issues in creating humanoid. . Database issue is the complicated thing in robotics schema design here in
our proposal we suggest new concept called NOSQL database for the effective data retrieval, so that the
humanoid robots will get the massive thinking ability in searching each items using chained instructions.
For query transactions in robotics we need an effective consistency transactions so by using latest
technology called CloudTPS which guarantees full ACID properties so that the robot can make their
queries using multi-item transactions through this we obtain data consistency in data retrievals. In addition
we included map reduce concepts it can splits the job to the respective workers so that it can process the
data in a parallel way.

In today's world, data is generated at a very rapid speed and final destination of such data is database. Data is stored in database for easy and efficient way to manage these data. All the operations of data manipulation and maintenance are done using Database Management System. Considering the importance of data in organization, it is absolutely essential to secure the data present in the database. A secure database is the one which is reciprocated from different possible database attacks. Security models are required to develop for databases. These models are different in many aspects as they are dealing with different issues of the database security. They may different also because of they are taking different assumptions about what constitutes a secure database. So, it becomes very difficult for database security seekers to select appropriate model for securing their database. In this paper, we have discussed some of the attacks that can be possible with its counter measures and its control methods that can be possible. Securing database is important approach for the planning of explicit and directive based database security requirements. Ensuring security for database is very critical issues for the companies. As complexity of database increases, we may tend to have more complex security issues of database.

Information Communication Technology (ICT) is a tool for enhancing teaching, learning and research. This study examined the utilization of ICT tools for lecture preparation and delivery in Federal University Lokoja, Kogi State, Nigeria. Quantitative research, particularly the descriptive survey method was adopted. The population for the study consists of 165 lecturers in the institution, of which a sample of 88 lecturers was drawn from the two existing faculties (Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Faculty of Sciences) which represents 53.3% of the total population. Questionnaire was designed to collect data for the study and descriptive statistical method was used to analyze and interpret the data collected. The findings revealed that the ICTs that are readily available to lecturers for lecture preparation and delivery are internet, online databases, internet ready computers, handheld devices, scanner/printers, social media platform and photocopying machine. Furthermore, the lecturers are knowledgeable on the use of ICT, but only a half of them utilize ICTs for lecture preparation and delivery. The challenges limiting the utilization of ICT tools for lecture delivery includes: inadequate ICT facilities, epileptic power supply, poor internet services and lack of funds. The study concludes that the use of ICTs is essential to stimulate a new atmosphere where lecturers could utilize these technologies for effective instructional delivery and to enhance academic excellence. Therefore, the acquisition of adequate ICT facilities and effectively placing them in all departments and lecture rooms, including active student's engagement in the use of ICTs for academic work were recommended.

We describe the TIGUKAT objectbase management system, which is under development at the Laboratory for Database Systems Research at the University of Alberta. TIGUKAT has a novel object model, whose identifying characteristics include a purely behavioral semantics and a uniform approach to objects. Everything in the system, including types, classes, collections, behaviors, and functions, as well as meta-information, is a first-class object with well-defined behavior. In this way, the model abstracts everything, including traditional structural notions such as instance variables, method implementation, and schema definition, into a uniform semantics of behaviors on objects. Our emphasis in this article is on the object model, its implementation, the persistence model, and the query language. We also (briefly) present other database management functions that are under development such as the query optimizer, the version control system, and the transaction manager.
