The discovery of the Hamidian regime's roots in modern turkish nationalism and the foundation of modern institutions of the foreign affairs that will continue to influence the development of the Republican institutions was thoroughly analized in the work of prof. Gürpınar. The book gives deep insight about the foundations of the Hamidian regime and its impact over the Young Turks as well as early Republicans, both in ideology and in institutional way, describing both the differences and similarities of each other and the interlinkage to each other.

Based on documentary material from the Central State Archives in Sofia, the article is analyzed relations between Serbia and Bulgaria in the years before the Balkan Wars 1912/1913. The data from the used material provide the opportunity to create a more complete picture of the sensitive relations between two countries on the eve of reaching the March 1912 agreement, which represented the basis of the Balkan Alliance. Diplomatic activities of future allies reached their peak at this time, through channeling and mutual reconciliation of the wishes and possibilities of Belgrade and Sofia. In the reports of Bulgarian diplomats, at this time the central place clearly belongs to the issue of Macedonia and the problem of the division of this sensitive area after the expected liberation from the Ottoman Empire.
