This paper proposes a cheap solution to be a starting point for building smart electrical power billing systems. Electrical power has many challenges issues in Iraq, one of these challenges and the most important is the Billing system. The smart power meter uses an Arduino Uno as the core for controlling the sensed data and transmits it to the electrical power unit for billing services. The system is constructed with two parts: the transmitting unit measures the current, voltage, power and power factor through the compact new sensor PZEM-004T. The data sensed and processed by the microcontroller which displayed the KWh on (2*16 LCD) display. This data also transmitted to the electrical power company unit via the global system for mobile communications (GSM) module (SIM900A) which is a dual band GSM/GPRS-general packet radio service modem. The receiving part is mainly dedicated for collecting the required consumed power data via the same (SIM900A) module and also can display it using (2*16 LCD) display. For the sake of saving these data, the receiver part uses SD ram for such purposes. With such proposed system the electrical power company can control and collect their fees monthly without loss and with minimum cost.

Gejala pencurian motor yang dimaksud meliputi tiga parameter sederhana yang masukannya diambil dari tiga sensor berbeda, yakni adanya gerakan di depan lubang kunci motor, adanya tekanan pada jok motor, serta adanya pergerakan motor dari kondisi diam. Sistem juga dirancang untuk dapat menampilkan status keamanan motor serta posisi terakhir motor pada aplikasi Android sederhana. Status keamanan motor diproses oleh Arduino dan dikirimkan menggunakan modul GSM ke layanan penyimpanan data di internet yang kemudian dikirimkan ke aplikasi Android di ponsel pengguna. Hasil pengujian fungsionalitas sistem pada penelitian ini belum sesuai dengan perancangan dikarenakan adanya kegagalan pemrosesan data yang mengakibatkan terganggunya proses pengiriman data oleh sistem.

EPSMvMA is composed of Digital Sub-Meter connected to different components namely the GSM module, Bluetooth module, Power Analyzer Module, LCD Module, Relay Module and Main Microcontroller module. The connection via Mobile is made possible by the modules mentioned. The software that the proponents will be dealing with in the study is C++ language, which will be used in programming the Main Microcontroller module and Visual Basic Language for the Android Phones. The Bluetooth module can access the Android Phones and connect to the digital sub-meter in a limited distance. The users will be at ease since a code embedded to the microcontroller will make the utility sub-meter produce the desired value of electricity (KWH) and wherein the computed Sub-meter reading can be viewed through the LCD. This project is accommodating to those person that is always on the go and prudent.

About 37 million people across the globe are visually impaired which is a substantial proportion of world's population In this fast developing world which is tending more towards the use of digital communication, the blind people find it really difficult to cope up with the pace of it. Although there have been some attempts made to develop several systems to help them to connect digitally with the society. Considering the present condition of the visually impaired people, we have developed a system (Braille Glove) which will help the user to send and receive text message using the standard Braille code. This paper describes a low-cost Braille Glove for blind people using touch sensors and vibration motors. This glove allows the person to type characters representing the Braille combination using the touch sensor which is placed on the palm side of the glove. This glove also allows the person to read the incoming message using the vibration motors which we have placed on the back side of the glove.

Safety plays a major role in today’s world and it is necessary that good safety systems are to be implemented in places of education and work. This work modifies the existing safety model installed in industries and this system also be used in homes and offices. The main objective of the work is designing
microcontroller based toxic gas detecting and alerting system. The hazardous gases like LPG and propane were sensed and displayed each and every second in the LCD display. If these gases exceed the normal level then an alarm is generated immediately and also an alert message (SMS) is sent to the
authorized person through the GSM. The advantage of this automated detection and alerting system over the manual method is that it offers quick response time and accurate detection of an emergency and in turn leading faster diffusion of the critical situation.

In today's world, safety is critical, and good safety systems must be put in place. The principal objective of this study is to design a harmful gas sensing and warning system based on embedded systems. LPG is used for cooking and in industries. Since LPG is stored in a bottle, it is easily damaged. In any case, when the gas cylinder, controller, and tube are not in great state, breaks occur, resulting in a issue. Accidents can cause problems such as suffocation and can start of fire. Installing gas leakage detectors in vulnerable areas is the most important measure to avoid accidents caused by gas spill. The primary purpose of this study is to propose a framework for detecting and eliminating gas spills in vulnerable areas. The gas spill sensor is one such way of detecting and alerting people to gas spills in their initial stages. The gas leak detection system includes a GSM module that sends SMS messages when a gas leak is noticed.

Street Light is essential to ensure comfort and road safety for road user. Street light technology has been improved to more efficient and intelligent. The main idea of this paper is to implement automatic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) booking and security system for detecting leakage of gas by using gas sensor. In this system, the LPG leakage is detected through the sensor and information is sent to the customer by Short Message Service (SMS) and alerts the customer using a GSM module, while activating the alarm and exhaust fan. The additional advantage of the system is that it continuously monitors the level of the LPG present in the cylinder using weight sensor and automatically books the cylinder using a GSM module at dealer side along with VB software.

Abstrak-Banyak kejadian tindakan pencurian terjadi saat penghuni rumah sedang tidur atau pada saat sibuk melakukan aktifitas di luar yang menyebabkan kurangnya perhatian. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh dari Badan Pusat Statistik tentang Statistik Kriminal 2018 pada tahun 2017 di Indonesia sebanyak 26.298 kali. Dengan berkembangnya teknologi saat ini, Sistem pengaman pintu menggunakan sidk jari (Finngerprint) dapat mengindetifikasi penghuni rumah dan sebuah modul GSM yang dapat mengirimkan informasi kepada pemilik rumah berupa pesan text, dirancang untuk memberikan solusi pada rumah yang ditinggalkan oleh pemiliknya. Metode yang digunakan dalam perancangan ini adalah menggunakan metode prototype, yaitu metode yang mengembangkan sebuah sistem awal yang akan dibuat. hasil pengujian yang telah dilakukan menunjukkan akses untuk membuka pintu menggunakan sidik jari (Fingerpritn) dari luar dapat berjalan dengan baik. Limit Switch dan Modul GSM dapat bekerja dengan baik sesuai program yang telah di perintahkan, dan pemilik rumah dapat dengan mudah mendapatkan informasi ketika seseorang menjebol pintu secara paksa.

Design  and  implementation  of  Short  Message  Service  (SMS)  alert  intelligent  security  door  system  with remote monitoring and control is presented in this paper. The system was designed in such a way that the door opens automatically  for 12 seconds when the right password is keyed in. The 12 seconds is to give  time  for  user  accessibility  through  the  door,  and  then  the  door  closes.  An  SMS  is  sent  to  a  predefined  phone  number  to  confirm  that  access  is  granted  immediately.  When  a  wrong  password  is entered,  in  case  of  possible  intrusion  or  forgotten  password  an  SMS  is  also  being  sent  to  same  predefined phone number. The door is permanently locked for three trial times. The user can then reset the password  for  forgotten  password  or  is  being  alerted  of  an  intruder.  In  this  paper,  AT89C52
microcontroller serves as the controller and is interfaced to a Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) module, to enable for SMS or alert to be sent to the pre-defined phone number. The system also comprises  of  a  liquid  crystal  display  (LCD)  for  display  of  information  and  a  keypad  for  entering  of  the password or the security code.  Proteus software  was used to carry out the real-time  simulation. When tested,  the  system  was  satisfactorily  proven  to  be  a  practical  progression  in  entree  control  and  door safety system technology.

With the help of sensors patient's vital signs are monitored continuously. This research work is developed with two AT89C52 microcontrollers from Atmel. The microcontrollers provide all the functionality of the display notices and wireless control. The Display is obtained on a 7X96 Light Emitting Diode (LED) dot matrix display, arranged on a Vero board. A desired text message from a mobile phone is sent via a Global System for Mobile Communication (GSM) to the GSM module located at the receiving end. The GSM modem is connected, through MAX 232 Integrated Circuit (MAX 32 IC), to the AT89C52 microcontroller. The message that is stored in the Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory (EEPROM) is then displayed on the LED dot matrix display. This hardware uses regulated 5V, 500mA power supply. A three-terminal LM7805 is employed for regulation of the voltage. A bridge type full-wave rectifier is used to rectify the AC output of the secondary of 230/12V step down transformer. The system was tested to work according to specification.

This project involves developing an SMS alert when unusual vibrations are detected. It includes a lab-based experiment of detecting vibrations when a different magnitude of the force is applied. The main backbone of India is Agriculture. There are many aspects that influence the yield of the crop. The major aspects that impact are soil moisture, weather conditions and proper maintenance and fencing to the field. If the fencing is not done properly, the probability of the field getting attacked by animal is more. In order to avoid the above situation, we are implementing PIR sensor for detection of movements and accordingly there would be a buzzer sound when the movement is detected. Along with this, we monitor the soil moisture level by which motor get on and off accordingly. There are few circumstances in which the crop gets hold of fire when it is ripe totally. To overcome this dangerous situation, we have implemented flame sensor along with GSM module to send alert message to the respective person when the crop gets hold of fire.

— The motivation for our project is the need to save fuel. LPG is a non-renewable source of energy, hence it is important that we need to use it judiciously. It is observed that a single household sometimes has multiple gas connections. This is simply because they are not aware of their fuel consumption rate. Our idea addresses this problem. The proposed idea aims to make the household consumer aware of their usage and thereby helping to reduce the LPG consumption. The number of deaths due to explosion of gas cylinders has been increasing in recent years. Thus there is need for a system to detect and also prevent leakage of LPG. The proposed project also implements leak detection and intimates the house owner of the same.

The Smart street lamp Unit (SslU) is an advance lighting system. This system conserves energy by reducing light intensity and detects the damaged lights in a street. It uses sensors such as LDR and Ultrasonic. The LDR is used to sense the presents of light in morning to switch off the street lights automatically and the Ultrasonic sensor is used to sense object on the street to increase the intensity of the light. A relay is used to supply the different voltage to the street lights (half intensity and full intensity). Arduino microcontroller is used to control the sensors and the network of lights to work by the program loaded on the microprocessor. The main control center is notified if any damage or malfunction is detected using a GSM module. The process of error detection in this large hard-wired system is done using main control boxes or by using any wireless communicator for defined number of streets, the output commands to GSM module to alert the main control center.

This project is mainly focused on improving existing agricultural practises through the use of new technology in order to increase yield. This research presents a concept of a smart greenhouse that enables farmers to carry out farm work automatically without the need for extensive manual inspection. The plants in a greenhouse are protected from adverse weather conditions such as wind, hailstorm, ultraviolet rays, and insect and pest attacks since it is a closed building. The irrigation of cultivation fields is done with automatic drip irrigation, which works according to the soil moisture threshold established such that the plants get the right amount of water. Using drip fertigation methods, the correct amount of nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium, and other minerals may be added based on data from the soil health card. After calculating the existing water level using an ultrasonic sensor, proper water management tanks are installed and filled with water. Using rising lights, plants are also supplied with the necessary wavelength light at night. Humidity and temperature metres, as well as a fogger, are used to monitor temperature and air humidity. The GSM module is used to monitor a tube well (missed call or sms). Bee-hive boxes are used for pollination, and ultrasonic sensors are used to weigh honey and deliver mail to customers when the boxes are complete. Furthermore, data from storage bins is transferred to a cloud server (Google Drive) and redirected to an e-commerce firm. The machine can keep track of different environmental factors including humidity, soil moisture, temperature, and the presence of fire, among others. A message will be sent to the registered number via GSM module if any condition exceeds those thresholds. If the soil moisture level falls below a certain threshold, the microcontroller can automatically switch on the motor. The colour of the leaves will be detected by a colour sensor, which will transmit a warning. In our laboratory, the prototype was placed through its paces with a variety of inputs, and the findings were as predicted.

This paper discusses design of smart car system which is implemented by PSoC. This is basically an automation of the energy providing system. Our proposed system will automatically send the data of the digital energy meter to the service provider with the help of the GSM modem once in a day and hence the system will report the service provider once in a through SMS. The same system can be used to check the last reading consumed by the consumer, when demanded by user through the same GSM modem. The device can also be used to control the load by energy provider with the help of relay circuit and system will also be provided with an LCD display which will update the consumers with different information’s regarding tariff change or sudden power off.

Also, at sudden stoppages on cross roads or due to sudden obstructions on road, natural or otherwise the driver cannot anticipate back bumper and side collision. Also, low height railing or pavements in blind spots while parking may damage the vehicle. Costly mobile phone jammers while effective render emergency communication impossible. As alcohol detection and vehicle tracking system are successfully implemented we are proposing an essential vehicle safety kit which is absent in majority of the vehicles on Indian roads. Furthermore, this can be an addition to the developing cognitive driver assistance system. The proposed system provides vehicle with safety features like SMS alert facility, blind spot detection and tail gating detector. The vehicle is equipped with angle sensors and a GSM modem interfaced with NXP ARM 2148 processor. The driver has access to a user interface consisting of LCD and switching ports. The driver may aware two modes of angle sensing with sensors located on centre of the Vehicle. A braking system can be actuated in the parking mode if the distance measured from the sensors crosses the defined threshold. In case of an emergency the driver can send a text or call from the stored numbers in the memory using the keypad. To save time and to maintain the driver's focus on the road a default text can be sent to a default number by a single key pad entry. Call service from the system eliminates the need of using the phone and prevents driver's loss of focus. Further the freedom to choose the number and the corresponding message to be sent is available when the vehicle is at rest. The system thus prevents accidental damage to the vehicle and its driver while eliminating the use of phone by the driver.

As data warehouse design is the one time process all future requirements and expansion have to be predicted in advance to design it.Data Warehousing is a leading technology for data processing and centrally maintaining it for analysis, report generation and decision making in industries and organizations. This paper presents a methodology to build a data warehouse for Smart Electric Meters and then extract and analyze various parameters. The proposed system will work as follows:The meter reading process will be automated eliminating need to send someone personally for reading the meter which will ensure more accurate billing. Electricity usage and related factors of each consumer will be noted by the meter at frequency of 30 minutes which gives total 48 readings for each consumer per day. This daily file will be sent to the server for further processing. Pricing of Electricity will be done differently for peak and off-peak hours by lowering the rates at off-peak hours. This will help to shape up the demand curve of electricity by averaging out the usage over the time. Analysis of historical data will be used to estimate load shading requirement, power consumption, effective utilization, lowering the individual bill amount, Consumer level analysis and so on.Proposed methodology for Smart Electric Meter Application: 1. Agriculture, the science and art of cultivating plants, plays a pivotal role in the evolution of a primary agricultural economy. More than 50% of the population in India depends upon farming. Hurdles concerning agriculture have significantly retarded the growth in this sector. The most significant obstacle incurred by the farmers is inefficient crop management and crop raiding by external sources, especially the human-wildlife conflict. A cumulative approach including the application of "Internet of Things" and traditional farming techniques, along with methods to barricade crop destruction has been elaborately highlighted by way of integrated systems. Hence this proposed module targets at making agriculture smart by proposing a device detects the presence of any living being by using either PIR Sensor or Ultrasonic Sensor, especially animals around the land to be cultivated, along with smart irrigation control and real-time data analysis which is also inclusive of smart warehouse management parameters like-temperature, humidity and pressure measured by using (DHT22 Sensor and BMP180 Sensor). This data may either be visualized by using the Blynk Software or received in the form of messages through the GSM Module. To combat the ruckus caused by animals, detection of their presence along with a laser security system has been provided in the proposed system. Efforts have been made to help the farmer in rectifying multiple issues at once.

EPSMvMA is composed of Digital Sub-Meter connected to different components namely the GSM module, Bluetooth module, Power Analyzer Module, LCD Module, Relay Module and Main Microcontroller module. The connection via Mobile is made possible by the modules mentioned. The software that the proponents will be dealing with in the study is C++ language, which will be used in programming the Main Microcontroller module and Visual Basic Language for the Android Phones. The Bluetooth module can access the Android Phones and connect to the digital sub-meter in a limited distance. The users will be at ease since a code embedded to the microcontroller will make the utility sub-meter produce the desired value of electricity (KWH) and wherein the computed Sub-meter reading can be viewed through the LCD. This project is accommodating to those person that is always on the go and prudent.

In ATM machines the user is identified by inserting an ATM card and authentication is provided by the customer entering a PIN. The PIN provided by the customer is compared with the recorded reference PIN within the bank Server. If the customer forgets the PIN after 3 trials ATM cards are blocked, to reactivate he needs to attend the bank and do the formalities which could be a time consuming job. So fingerprint biometric is introduced to cut back this sort of error. This project aims at exploring the system to secure ATM pins and passwords with the fingerprint data specified only the legitimate user can access the pins and passwords by providing the valid fingerprint.

Agriculture is the backbone of any nation's economy and there is a dependency between agricultural growth and economic prosperity. As India is an Agriculture country where 70% of the population depends on farming, the storage of grains plays a crucial role in national economy. Due to the seasonality of grain production, the storage of grain is the top priority task for restoring and reusing. In the process of grain storage, temperature, humidity and carbon dioxide concentration (CO2) are major ecological factors that can influence directly on the quality of the Grain. Hence, there is a necessity to monitor the vital parameters continuously during storage and communicate the status to the manger in real time which becomes a challenging. The traditional methods are limited to simple manual temperature and humidity testing which are relatively backward since grain situation analysis are made without any effective means of processing and regulation hence there is a need for smart grain management system with automation which can also avoid hidden security risks. The Real-time monitoring of the grain storage system is designed based on ARM7 and using GSM module as lower level Control unit which improves the level of grains storage and reduce the grain losses during storage procedure and also reduce man power and labor intensity. I. INTRODUCTION Grain is our country's important strategic resources. The seasonal production of the grain makes it very difficult to maintain the grain quality level for a long time. Due to different environment conditions and the variation in the environment parameters in grain storage depot the quality level decreases also there is a loss of grain also. So the cost of labor increases. So the storage of grain in the proper environment should be our top priority event. Because it effects people's livelihood. The automatic monitoring of the grain storage will help us to improve the operation levels of grain storage, reduce the grain losses during stored procedure and reduce labor intensity. The sensors collect the information from environment, the collected signals through the analog to digital conversions. These conversions are sent to micro controller unit. This micro controller unit is connected to LCD to display the values of temperature, humidity, light and CO2 values and using GSM to achieve the system's remote control, it greatly improves the flexibility and scalability of the warehouse management which sends available data to grain depot manager in time and filters invalid data on the spot.
