Buku Biru Keluarga Mahasiswa ITB ini adalah buku kedua setelah Buku Putih Perjuangan Mahasiswa 1978.

Buku Biru ini berisi tentang gagasan atau rumusan jalan keluar atas persoalan yang dihadapi oleh bangsa Indonesia pada saat itu.

Tapi menariknya, kesimpulan dan rumusan jalan keluar yang mereka tulis hampir 40 tahun yang lalu itu seolah masih tidak jauh berbeda dengan situasi sekarang.

Buku ini dapat menjadi salah satu referensi bagi kita semua yang ingin bersama-sama mewujudkan cita-cita kemerdekaan nasional seperti yang tertuang dalam Pembukaan UUD 1945.

Buku ini juga dapat dijadikan referensi tentang sosok dibalik penyusunan Buku Putih dan Buku Biru Mahasiswa 1978 yang hingga kini masih terus memperjuangkan visi atau cita-cita yang telah mereka tuliskan dalam 2 buku tersebut.

Semoga bermanfaat dan bisa kita sebar luaskan.

Cross-linguistic comparison of unrelated or distantly related languages is often hindered by the lack of a one-to-one correspondence between the formal repertoires of the different languages. This article presents an example of such a situation, where the comparison of the Irish and Italian prepositional inventories is made impossible, on a formal basis, by the different sizes of the two sets of forms and the different semantic segmentation of the spatial-content continuum, i.e., the fact that one and the same form can express different concepts in a way that is cross-linguistically not always valid, and – conversely – that one and the same concept may be expressed by more than one linguistic form in a language and by just one in the other. Data mining, sering juga disebut knowledge discovery in database (KDD), adalah kegiatan yang meliputi pengumpulan, pemakaian data historis untuk menemukan keteraturan, pola atau hubungan dalam set data berukuran besar. Keluaran dari data mining ini bisa dipakai untuk memperbaiki pengambilan keputusan di masa depan. Metode Naive Bayes adalah suatu metode untuk memulai prediksi suatu data dari fakta-fakta yang ada menuju suatu kesimpulan. Berdasarkan uraian tersebut diatas, maka dilakukan penelitian penerapan metode Naive Bayes pada proses menampilkan tingkat kelulusan mahasiswa dengan menggunakan data master dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sehingga diharapkan akan mendapat suatu output yang berupa informasi bagi universitas maupun bagi mahasiswai,dengan adanya informasi tersebut kita dapat menyimpulkan apakah mahasiswa akan lulus tepat waktu ataupun terlambat. Data mining , often also called knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) , is an activity that includes the collection , use historical data to find regularities , patterns or relationships in large data sets. Output of data mining can be used to improve decision making in the future. Naive Bayes method is a method to start the prediction of the data of facts that exist towards a conclusion. One of the greatest challenges in the design of realistic Artificial Intelligence (AI) in computer games is agent movement. Pathfinding strategies are usually employed as the core of any AI movement system. The two main components for basic real-time pathfinding are (i) travelling towards a specified goal and (ii) avoiding dynamic and static obstacles that may litter the path to this goal. The focus of this paper is how machine learning techniques, such as Artificial Neural Networks and Genetic Algorithms, can be used to enhance an AI agent’s ability to handle pathfinding in real-time by giving them an awareness of the virtual world around them through sensors. Thus the agents should be able to react in real-time to any dynamic changes that may occur in the game.

Nowadays, an intercultural component needs to be integrated in the development of any business course and research in the field of Intercultural Studies outlines issues directly relevant to the Business world. Research findings have underlined the complexity of concepts such as Culture and Stereotypes. Tulisan ini merupakan essai yang dipublikasikan pada waktu acara kumpul alumni ITB 2006 pasca 10 tahun kelulusan. Tulisan ini ingin mengangkat peran aktif seorang mahasiswa ITB 2006 di dalam problem-problem sosial di Indonesia, terutama kemiskinan dan juga kesenjangan. Tulisan ini juga berisi suatu ajakan agar jejaring mahasiswa ITB 2006 dapat bersatu untuk menghadapi berbagai problema sosial di Indonesia.

I.1. Guide to nondestructive testing techniques Nondestructive Evaluation (NDE) comprises many terms used to describe various activities within the field. Some of this terms are Nondestructive Testing (NDT), Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) and Nondestructive Examination (NDE, but should be probably called NDEx). These activities include testing, inspection and examination, which are similar in that they primarily involve looking at/through or measuring something about an object in order to determine some characteristic of the object or to determine whether the object contains irregularities, discontinuities, or flaws. The terms irregularity, discontinuity, and flaw can be used interchangeably to mean something that is questionable in the part or assembly, but specifications, codes, and local usage can result in different conditions for these terms. Because these terms describe what is being sought through testing, inspection or examination, the term NDE (Nondestructive Evaluation) has come to include all the activities of NDT, NDI and NDEx used to find, locate, size, or determine something about the object or flaws are acceptable. A flaw that has been evaluated as rejectable is usually termed a defect. Several different ways of NDE methods are presented in this article, but there is no completely acceptable system of comparison, because the results are highly dependent on the applications. Therefore, is recommended that a comparison be developed specifically for each NDE area and application type. NDE is vital for constructing and maintaining all types of components and structures. To detect different defects such as cracking and corrosion, there are different methods of testing available, such as X-ray (where cracks show up on the film) and/or ultrasound (where cracks show up as an echo blip on the screen). These methods are aimed mainly for industrial NDT, but many of the described ones can be used to test the human body. In fact methods from the medical field, where there tends to be more development funding available, have often been adapted for industrial use, as was the case with Phased Array Ultrasonics (PAU) and Computed Radiography(CR). While destructive testing usually provides a more reliable assessment of the state of the test object, destruction of the test object usually makes this type of test more costly to the test object's owner than nondestructive testing. Destructive testing is also inappropriate in many circumstances, such as forensic investigation. That there is a tradeoff between the cost of the test and its reliability favors a strategy in which most test objects are inspected nondestructively. Destructive testing is performed on a sampling of test objects that is drawn randomly for the purpose of characterizing the testing reliability of the nondestructive test.

This paper looks at feasibility of creating a piece of software for practical electrical classes that engages learners of different learning styles. Traditional practical electrical classes are usually delivered using text based resources, but due in part to the advances in technology it is possible to provide information in a variety of formats. The starting point of this research was to evaluate the preferred learning style of the typical apprentice learner by using a learning style questionnaire based on the Vark model. The Vark model represents four learning styles Visual, Auditory, Reading/Writing and Kinaesthetic. The results from the questionnaire then influenced the design of a workshop interface to suit the learner’s particular learning style. The final design was influenced by expert opinion in the area of learning styles as well as subject area experts.
