Olympic Movement

Introduction:
Sport extensively implements the private and public aspects of people's life around the world, ipso facto, sport effects on behaviours of individuals, communities and media. Sport is considered as the main motivation of moral, economic, political, cultural, and social changes.
In March 2000, the first Deputy Secretary-General of the United Nations, Ms. Louise Fréchette, in the World Sport Forum expressed that, the power of sport is far more than symbolic; you (athletes) are the engines of economic growth, you are a force for gender equality, you can bring youth and others in from the margins, strengthening the social fabric. You can promote communication and help heal divisions between people, communities, and entire nations, and also be a role model for fair play.
Seventh President of the International Olympic Committee, Juan Antonio Samaranch, in connection between sport and politic said, those who say that sport in practice has nothing to do with politics are sorely mistaken.
Regardless of health, economic and entertainment aspects of sport, this phenomenon (sport) has social and political consequences that affect relations between governments, and socio-political groups, inter
alia, sport ties and affects concepts like national power, competition, convergence, divergence, dispute, conflict, nationalism, and national unity, as well as, sport influences on the attitude of governments and nations in relations to each other.
Sport clearly has a competitive nature which may cause positive and negative elements, i.e., depending on how and for what purpose sport roles political and social forms, their natures are changeable.

Objectives:
In this thesis, the authors consider sport aspects to role social and political forms in society, inter alia, the importance of sport in socio-political conceptualization.

Methods:
The methodology of this thesis are resources on social and political issues which may be role by sport, grounded theory, also considered the fact that the sport aspect of socio-political forms, like its other trends, can play a double-edged sword. Depending on the way and aim of usage of sport in socio-political forms, their functions are variable.
The authors attempt by using descriptive-analytical and survey methods to examine the dual functions of sport in socio-political conceptualization.

Results:
The most important positive and negative result of the sport role in socio-political conceptualization are:
 nation-building and strengthening of nationalism;
 strengthening the sense of belonging to the homeland;
 promoting global aspects of a state;
 strengthening of other national identities;
 sport competition as a lever for socio-political gestures;
 socio-political isolation and sanction;
 strengthening social convergence;
 weakening social divergence;
 mythization;
 discharging emotional energy of people;
 neoliberalism and objectification of athletes;
 sport as a happiness and proudness factor in society;
 athletic objectification;
 racial and sexual representation;
 human rights promotion;
 justice development;
 investment in society;
 sport as a substitute instead of war;
 sport as a propaganda tool for politicians;
 promotion of social and political status;
 prevalence of terrorist activities;
 promotion of other sport functions as:
 justice and fairness of the existing social order;
 sport as a substitute for religion;
 deviation of population attention from their real social situation;
 development of sport tourism.

Conclusions and perspectives of further research:
Today, the separation of sport from politics looks naive. Even emphasizing the separation of sport and politics is a political issue. One of the International Olympic Committee aims is to oppose the political
use of sport and athletes. But, considering Olympic movement history, it is hard to find Olympic games without political influences. In modern Olympic games, even issues like war, sanction, boycotts, terrorism, and protests are considered.
Sport has a prominent role in the socio-political conceptualization, ipso facto, positive and negative influences that need to be evaluated in governance forms of society.
The sport aspect of socio-political, like other trends of socio-political, can play a double-edged sword.
By the way, in the current paradigm, the role of sport is an inseparable fact of social and political forms.
Therefore, sport is one of the main levers for social and political conceptualization in society.
The role of sport in socio-political conceptualization needs to be examined theoretical and statistical to develop a system for governing and controlling society.

The COVID-19 pandemic has resulted in the decision of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to postpone the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games, which is an unprecedented decision that is bringing about colossal challenges to every institutional stakeholder in the Olympic System. The IOC has launched a robust taskforce to assess the reach and impact of the postponement, and provide guidance to adapt the project of the Games to a new timeline, which is addressing the logistical, managerial and financial aspects of this endeavor. This paper, however, aims to approach this unprecedented challenge from a perspective that privileges the opportunities it creates to shift the course of the Olympic Movement towards a better alignment with Olympic ideals, based on some recommendations of Agenda 2020 as well. O COI lançou uma força-tarefa robusta para avaliar o alcance e o impacto do adiamento e fornecer orientações para adaptar o projeto dos Jogos a uma nova linha do tempo, que trata dos aspectos logísticos, gerenciais e financeiros desse empreendimento. Este artigo, no entanto, visa abordar esse desafio sem precedentes de uma perspectiva que privilegia as oportunidades criadas para mudar o curso do Movimento Olímpico em direção a um melhor alinhamento dos ideais olímpicos, com base em algumas recomendações da Agenda 2020.
