The demand for Islamic hotel services is increasing as a result of current trends in the global halal trends. Islamic tourism is a propensity in Muslim countries due to induced consciousness, islamophobia, and religiosity among Muslim tourists. It is essential to provide anoperational model for potential suppliers and investors to build up an Islamic hotel for the target community. While analyzing the supply side's awareness and acceptance level, this study will address the operating model of the Islamic hotel. The hotelier and entrepreneur are constantly introducing new concepts and ideas into the hotel business to attract new customers or boost customer retention, as well as to successfully operate, sell, and generate profit. The Islamic hotelsbring an additional spiritual leadto other commercial business models. The operational model presented in this manuscript shows several features and attributes from the demand and supply side, which filtered through the sharia law acceptability for the focused group.

The evolution in the travel agency business with respect to technology is creating a major impact in both advantageous and disadvantageous manner. These kind of small businesses that shape travel agency industry are now facing pressure from the development of technological advancement through the usage of internet by customers for acquiring travel services and the transactions involved between the service providers and consumers. From this point of view, travel agencies in this era should be in the position to embrace adaptation with market requirement for its existence. This report provides the hypothetical view and observations with empirical support of the role of technology and e-services in the business of traditional travel agencies of Pakistan and suggests the optimum solution for the usage of technology in the development of travel agency business. Lahore is selected as a reference city for this research.

The state of historic preservation in the country is impoverished with a dearth of training and poor documentation skills, thus these monuments are decaying and in dire need of attention. The Aga Khan Cultural Service-Pakistan is one of the first working in heritage conservation in the country. AKCSP is currently subjecting the UNESCO World Heritage site of the Mughal era Lahore Fort to an intensive and multi-faceted architectural documentation process. This is presented here as a case study to chart the evolution of documentation techniques and enunciate the spectrum of challenges faced in the documentation of an intricate Mughal heritage site for conservation in the Pakistani context. 3D-laser scanning is used for the purpose of heritage conservation for the first time, and since has been utilised on heritage buildings and urban fabric in ongoing projects. These include Lahore Fort, Walled city of Lahore as well as the Baltit Fort, a project restored in the past, assisting in the maintenance of conserved buildings. The documentation team is currently discovering the full potential of this technology especially its use in heritage conservation simultaneously overcoming challenges faced. Moreover negotiating solutions to auto-generate 2D architectural drawings from the 3D pointcloud output. The historic architecture is juxtaposed with contemporary technology in a region where such a combination is rarely found. The goal is to continually develop the documentation methodologies whilst investigating other technologies in the future.
