The growing concern on environment sustainability, increasing fuel prices and climate change have galvanised business and government organisations to incorporate the Green concepts in all areas. Green IT is an emerging research area in Information Technology field. As IT infrastructure is growing rapidly in Sri Lanka, it is evident that Sri Lanka too would face major issues with energy prices and e-waste. Increasing energy cost is already a major concern in business organisations in Sri Lankan. Thus, study on Green IT adoption in Sri Lanka is an area of interest to academics as well as business organisations. Hence, in this research, influential factors of Green IT adoption in data centres of Sri Lankan banks were studied. To achieve the objective a conceptual model based on literature was developed and four banks were selected for data collection. The Office for National Statistics’ (ONS) Virtual Microdata Laboratory (VML) has formed a significant part of the UK data infrastructure for the past 7 years, providing secure access to confidential microdata resources for policy relevant research and enabling the ONS to ensure that data resources collected at significant cost are exploited as fully as possible.
With the major changes in the UK data infrastructure and approaching financial pressures on all government departments, the challenge is to assess whether there is sufficient demand for the VML to justify ONS investment, and if there is, to ensure that its operations are directed in such a way that the maximum value for money is achieved.
This paper will briefly outline the VML and the new ESRC funded Secure Data Service SDS; it will then detail areas of demand for VML services which the author has observed during a secondment at the ONS; finally the paper will make suggestions as to how the VML can focus its future strategy to ensure that it provides the most secure, efficient and cost-effective service going forward to 2015.

This document provides a brief review on the state of the art of data centre simulation. Energy, airflow, hybrid and other types of simulation are described, as well as their advantages and limitations. Examples of each type of simulation tool are also mentioned.

The goal of the ESSNet-Project "Decentralised Access to EU Microdata" was to investigate the legal, technical and administrative feasibility of setting up a network of national Safe-Centres to easy access to the Community Statistics. This report presents the framework, the objectives and the final results as well as the recommendations of the project.

Difference types of DC-DC converter are used in various electronic devices and applications for so many years. But conventional converter cannot afford in high voltage and high current applications. Many researchers have been tried to full-fill the requirements. In this paper, dual stage double boost DC-DC converter is used for data center, high voltage vehicles and renewable system. Many control methods are developed for the control of DC-DC converter. To obtain a control method has the best performance under any condition is always demand. The main objective of this paper is to study the voltage mode control of proposed converter based on fuzzy logic controller (FLC) under the response of different parameters of proposed converter using Matlab/Simulink Software.
