About this audiobook
What would happen if you started listening to your cravings instead of trying to silence them? If you’re tired of the same old messages of eat less and move more, this audiobook is what you’ve been missing. You know “how to” get healthy… but now there’s finally an audiobook to help you find your “want to”- the lasting emotional and spiritual motivation to meet your goals and stay healthy.
The reality is we were made to crave. Craving isn’t a bad thing. But we must realize God created us to crave more of him. Many of us have misplaced that craving by overindulging in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction. New York Times bestselling author of It’s Not Supposed to Be This Way, Uninvited, and The Best Yes, Lysa TerKeurst, invites you to find the missing link between a woman’s desire to be healthy and the spiritual empowerment necessary to make that happen. In this audiobook, Lysa will help you:
- Break the cycle of “I’ll start again Monday” and feel good about yourself today.
- Stop agonizing over numbers on the scale and make peace with your body.
- Replace rationalizations that lead to failure with wisdom that leads to victory.
- Reach your healthy goals and grow closer to God through the process.
This is not a how-to audiobook. This is not the latest and greatest dieting plan. This audiobook is the necessary companion for you to use alongside whatever healthy lifestyle plan you choose. This is an audiobook and Bible study to help you find the "want to" in making healthy lifestyle choices.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a life-changing and profound book that offers wisdom and motivation for those struggling with healthy eating habits. The book provides a balanced perspective and incorporates Bible verses to give a different perspective on the relationship between food and spirituality. Many readers highly recommend this book and consider it the best they have ever read on the subject. Overall, it is seen as a Godsend and an answer to prayers for understanding and overcoming food-related issues.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I chose to do the audiobook of this because I have been having trouble finishing nonfiction books lately and I really wanted to finish this. I need to listen to this over and over not because it’s an epic classic, but because it is profound wisdom that I need in my life. I already knew a lot of the health facts and scriptures that the writer mentions but find it difficult to put into practice consistently. This book resonates with me in the deep places. I love the Personal Reflections sections. She has devotionals and Bible studies that go with this book. I will be reading and rereading and doing the workbooks until I get this in my spirit and hopefully find some victory from my bad eating habits. Definitely a #mustread for anyone who struggles with healthy eating habits.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is the absolute best book I've ever read/listened to about my relationship with food vs. God. Honestly it's one of a kind! I've never learned anything like this in any other endeavor on my journey to understanding my issues with food. This book is an absolute God send and an answer to my prayers! I'm already planning to start it over today because i know there is still so much more to gain from this book. Thank you Lysa!!

- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed this book and its theories on how working on your relationship with God can help to fill the cravings you have for food. Terkeurst says that we are made to crave (obviously by the title) God but that we fill that craving with food, sex, shopping, etc instead of filling it with God. By working on our relationship with God and filling the craving through Him we will crave less of the food, sex, shopping, etc. There are some excellent quotes and passages in the book one of my favorites is (this is not an exact quote because I don't have the book in front of me) the number on the scale is a measure of how much our bodies weigh, not a measure of our worth. A definite read for anyone interested in a different thought process on dieting, weight and spirituality.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is a life-changing book for me! Love the balance she find in not being legalistic, but motivating us all through the beauty of our Savior and what He says is good: self-control (among other things).
