About this audiobook
Feyre’s first Winter Solstice as High Lady is drawing near. With it will come a hard-earned rest from the work that she, Rhysand and their friends have done to rebuild the Night Court and the vastly changed world beyond. Yet the festive atmosphere can’t keep shadows from looming.
Even as her own heart heals, she finds that those dearest to her have wounds that go deeper than she knew. And the scars of the past will touch her court in times to come.

What our readers think
Readers find this title to be a mixed bag. Some reviewers enjoyed the continuation of the story and the insight into the characters' personalities. They appreciated that the author didn't shy away from portraying the aftermath of war. However, others felt that the book was slow-moving and lacked a compelling story arc. Some reviewers found it to be a filler book with no real point. Overall, readers found this title to be a quick and light-hearted break before diving into the next installment of the series.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5I feel like there was no real point to this book, grateful it was the shortest of the 5

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Short and sweet. Not as fun as the others, but provides a good insight I to the characters and their personalities.
Also, I like that the author doesn't pretend that all is nice and happy after a war.1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Simple enough I love it! I love the little extra spark of joy I got before continuing on to ACOSF.
If you love the series this is a great quick breather since the last two book had so much going on.
It has some continuing on what they were to do after the war and ways they planned to handle it.
I love that we got to see most of everyone's POV. I hope to get more of that in ACOSF
I loved the gallery and paint classes Feyre opened for the children! So cute and nice!
I loved all the celebration they had for Winter Solstice and Feyre birthday. Again a very nice touch of joy before tackling ACOSF. If you love the series you'll love this little added Novella (:1 person found this helpful
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Completely pointless. I absolutely loved these series, and after listening to this short sequel I’m baffled as to why it had to be written. It doesn’t add anything at all to how the trilogy was concluded. Nothing. There’s no story. Quite disappointing.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Glorious as per usual! Obviously the slowest moving of the series but I needed to know how Nesta was.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5It was short and didn’t feel like much to the story.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Gotta say, this one almost lost me. I almost gave up on the series but heard the next book is better. I powered through it
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Unpopular opinion: this was actually my favorite book of the series so far.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I love the whole series. This is a good audiobook.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Beautiful.
It felt like things were being wrapped up and unraveled at the same time.
I’m excited to read more - Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I really liked this book. I had seen so many reviews saying that it's filler and it can be skipped, but I think the book did a great job showing how, not only Rhysand and Feyre's inner circle is coping after the war, but also the people of Velaris.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5It was very slow. Hoping it's just a "filler book"
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I have enjoyed all books written by Sarah J Maas.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Medicore - I love this series, I totally binged the first 3 books ACOTAR one after the other and thought it had some of the most masterful fantasy story telling I have ever read. So of course when I was done I wanted to see what was next. I tried this novella but honestly I found it quite mediocre compared to the first three books. Now I’m going to read the next full length book in the series - Nesta & Cassians story, I hope that one is a better spin off book than this one. I also hope we get love stories for all of the other major characters - Mor, Azriel, Lucien and Elaine.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5love this series, this book is a little more feel good/ tieing up loose ends of the others but i enjoyed it none the less
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5Nothing really happened in the book , but it was short and sweet
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I liked it and seeing the characters lives outside of war but nothing happened? It was a bit disappointing
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5ACOTAR holiday episode. Nothing of note really happens in this novella in comparison to the rest of the series. If you’re lukewarm on the general story, you can skip this episode, it’s filler.
- Rating: 2 out of 5 stars2/5Sickly sweet and no story arch. I listened to the entire book waiting for it to start, but then narrator said "the end". With that long build up there needs to be an amazing reward.. But none ever comes. Best voice though, and I'm sad to see next book has yet another speaker.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5I have been truly enjoying this series, but this book was just meh. There really wasn’t too much exciting in it. Nothing resolved—Nesta and Tamlin especially. I know it will happen in the next one, I just feel like this entire book was a “filler.”
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5Filler book. Doesn’t grab you like the other books in this series. Skip this one
- Rating: 1 out of 5 stars1/5I couldn’t even finish it. I’m moving on to the from blood and ash series..
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this novella. Perfect little winters tale with romance, friendship and a little bit of drama.
- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5A slow book compared to others, I didn’t think the events that followed the war needed it’s own book. But since it was short I listened to it regardless
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5So amazing! I feel redundant with my reviews but yet again this book made me laugh cry gasp and immerse myself in this prethian world I so love this series.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This whole entire series has become one of my absolute fave titles and I can highly highly suggest all of them!
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5I enjoyed the reunion. I wonder about the fifth ?.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5this was a great filler book cant wait to listen to the next one, also I love this narrator's voice
