"Suspenseful, sexy, and with incredibly entertaining storytelling, the first in Yarros' Empyrean series will delight fans of romantic, adventure-filled fantasy."—Booklist, starred review
"Fourth Wing will have your heart pounding from beginning to end ... A fantasy like you've never read before."?Jennifer L. Armentrout, #1 New York Times bestselling author
Enter the brutal and elite world of a war college for dragon riders from USA Today bestselling author Rebecca Yarros.
Twenty-year-old Violet Sorrengail was supposed to enter the Scribe Quadrant, living a quiet life among books and history. Now, the commanding general—also known as her tough-as-talons mother—has ordered Violet to join the hundreds of candidates striving to become the elite of Navarre: dragon riders.
But when you’re smaller than everyone else and your body is brittle, death is only a heartbeat away … because dragons don’t bond to “fragile” humans. They incinerate them.
With fewer dragons willing to bond than cadets, most would kill Violet to better their own chances of success. The rest would kill her just for being her mother’s daughter—like Xaden Riorson, the most powerful and ruthless wingleader in the Riders Quadrant.
She’ll need every edge her wits can give her just to see the next sunrise.
Yet, with every day that passes, the war outside grows more deadly, the kingdom’s protective wards are failing, and the death toll continues to rise. Even worse, Violet begins to suspect leadership is hiding a terrible secret.
Friends, enemies, lovers. Everyone at Basgiath War College has an agenda—because once you enter, there are only two ways out: graduate or die.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This kept me captivated through the whole book. Though i was hesitant to listen bc of everyone saying the narrator sounded gross. It was as bad as what they made it out to be...I cannot wait for the second book!

- Rating: 3 out of 5 stars3/5Ok this book was cute for what I can see from the other books available from this author it looks like this is her first fantasy book soo knowing that this was good, not great but just good
Now when it comes to the narrator she was clearly sick and very congested but once you get chapter 18 you can’t hear it anymore for me that wasn’t too much of a big deal I got passed it
but what really got me annoyed ? was that she tried to change her voice when other people were talking which most time I think it’s great but the issue was that she would get tooo excited when argument or fights happened that she would mix all the voices and you can’t really not tell who that hell she’s trying to talk like and it felt like she was yelling at you and I didn’t like that soooo I was giving her 1 1/21 person found this helpful
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Great book. Kept me interested the entire time. Upset that the sequel doesn’t come out until November.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5The book is amazing, great story! Love the action and details. The only bad thing I have to say is the narrator's voice...she was clearly sick and is quite ? to listen to her, it's distracting. I will be reading the book just to be sure I didn't miss anything important because of hear sickly sounds.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Extremely engaging writing. I couldnt put it down for the last 6 Chapter. For Fantasy and Dragon fans alike. The PERFECT combo! I loved the magic system and world building that didn't become too overwhelming. An interesting plot device that helped with that and the book is giving classic magic school vibes in Basgiath War College! Very excited to read the next installment. Excellent work!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book is a must Fn read. As someone who doesn't read or listen to books often I am hooked and obssed. 10/10
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I loved this book. The more you delve into the story, the more the secrets are brought into the light. The last few chapters are excellent. A great read.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing! The first half of the book was a little slow but the middle to the end had me wanting more at every turn I really hope there is a part 2
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Slow burn but so goood. Xaden is ? and I can’t wait to read the next book. Hope the series continues for a long time
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5I was hesitant to start Fourth Wing after finishing Sarah J. Maas’s books, but Im so glad I did! This book is absolutely amazing! The world building, the fast paced plot, strong characters kept me hooked from start to finish. It has the same magic, action, and romance I love in Maas works , but its own unique twist. A must read book !!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Talk about a cliff hanger. Love the story line. The characters are pretty well built. This would make a great movie! The end had me on the edge of my seat with worry!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This book was BEYOND phenomenal! My daughter recommended it and after hearing her talk about it I went out and immediately bought it! I was so hooked that I downloaded the audio version so I could listen to it when I wasn’t able to read the physical copy!

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5top 3 read of the year. and that ending??? WHAT!!!??!?!?? IMMEDIATELY starting iron flame.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Excellent story with believable characters. Looking forward to the next book! Only issues are first chapter you just have to get through it. It's an annoying long family fight with cursing and the author uses the word "rucksack" WAY to many times. Narrator reads in a hard angry tone the whole time and when action happens, she reads way too fast. I want to savor the words more.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Love love love!!!! Can't wait to read the next one
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5English is not my first language but I understand everything. Thank you!
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is my third time listening to this series and I love it just as much as the first time but…

I will NEVER forgive Rebecca for what she did to Liam. Never.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Absolutely love this author! Her books are great and the storyline is amazing
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5Amazing. Amazing. Amazing. The characters , sometimes, irritating as heck. But once I realise their ages... It makes sense. So well done to the author for that.
