About this audiobook
With his college graduation gown expertly pitched into the trash, Justin Akron is ready for the road trip he planned with his best friend, Landry, and ready for one last summer of escape from his mother's controlling grip. Climbing into the Winnebago his father left him, they set out across America in search of the sites his father had captured through the lens of his Nikon.
As an aspiring photographer, Justin can think of no better way to honor his father's memory than to scatter his ashes at the sites he held sacred, and there's no one Justin would rather share the experience with more than Landry. But Justin knows that he can't escape forever. Eventually he'll have to return home and join his mother's Senate campaign. Nor can he escape the truth of who he is, and the fact that he's in love with his out-and-proud travel companion.Contains mature themes.

Megan Erickson grew up in a family that averages 5’5” on a good day and started writing to create characters who could reach the top kitchen shelf. She’s got a couple of tattoos, has a thing for gladiators, and has been called a crazy cat lady. After working as a journalist for years, she decided she liked creating her own endings better and switched back to fiction. She lives in Pennsylvania with her husband, two kids, and two cats. And no, she still can’t reach the stupid top shelf.

- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is like the third time I have listened to this book. It is amazing, sweet, loving, and beautiful. I laugh, smile, and cry every time. The pure love between them two gives my heart hope to find something so pure. I would love to see this as a movie, but until then I will listen again... Thank you for the happy tears and hope for love in my life of the future.
- Rating: 4 out of 5 stars4/5This was a great story of unrequited love and friendship. Justin and Landry were just taking a trip at the end of summer before adulting commences. Told in dual POV, you are just rooting for each one to really 'see' the other. It's not all easy. But that's what makes the HEA so sweet.
- Rating: 5 out of 5 stars5/5This is an exquisitely told story of a young man's journey to not only honor the memory of his father but also finding and accepting his own self. It is gripping and heartwarming and a book I won't forget for a while.
Coming to terms with his sexuality and the love he feels for his best friend Landry as well as determining the right path for his future is weighing heavily on Justin Akron. There are moments of tenderness, anger, love, and rage but in the end, being true to his heart is the only way to go.
This is a great m/m love story that I highly recommend.
