A Collection of Inspirational Poems and Song Lyrics

The first of the Bikes, Babes, Booze and Boats Series

    Ignorant Bliss

    Crazy people,

    down to earth.

    So damn genuine,

    it hurts.

    They take us in,

    have a bong mate.

    Have exotic abodes,

    stay here mate.

    I've taken advantage,

    in my ignorant way.

Not a thought or a feeling,

    to how long we stay.

    I wonder now,

    how you felt.

I was very much in the biker scene, the Harley scene and enjoyed riding around Queensland so much. We were part of a cult, the Harley Riders. When riding to places along the Queensland coast and other places in the interior we stayed in the homes of other Harley Riders, we had a grand time indeed.

    16 Hours on an FLH

    Sixteen hours on an FLH,

    headin' down, to Sydney town.

Goin' down to see some friends of mine,

gonna' party on and have a good time.

Somethin' about cruisin' down the road,

makes me realise, yes, I am a luck man.

Takin' in all the sights as they flashin' by,

takin' it all in, bye bye

    Seen some irate truckers,

    lots of blind motherfuckers,

and a spunky little blond in a MGB.

    Police
