About this ebook

For years, these words have been collecting dust in the dark. They've been hidden away out of fear.

But now, they get to speak out loud.

They get to tell the story of a girl once too young, too alone, too full of dreams.

    Taunted

I wrote that word so long ago

Yet it’s stayed with me until now

It haunts me day by day

Taunting me with fear I can’t ignore

I wrote that word so long ago

Back when I felt it was true

Begging for it to stay with me

    Determined to engrain it forever

I wrote that word so long ago

But now I know it wasn’t true

Blinded by something that wasn’t real

    And now I cannot see

I wrote that word so long ago

But it still feels like yesterday

    Story

    This is the story

    About a girl

    Whose dreams

    Were shattered

    This is the story

    About a girl

    Whose heart

    Lays in a heap

    This is the story

    About a girl

    Who tried

    But couldn’t win

    This is the story

    About a girl

    Whose smile faded

    While she drifted away.

    One Word

    What can one word say

Can it mean the world to you

Or can it tear everything apart

Is a word ever only a word

Or does it always mean something

    Can words determine a fate

Or does fate decide our words

What can one word really say?

    Inexplicable

It used to be so easy

    For the words to flow

    From me to the paper

    Pencil striking lead

    Etching strings of letters

    To make some sense

    Of the turmoil within

    But each and every day

    It gets harder for me

    To find the right words

    And every single day

    My emotions become

    More than I can handle

    Making my heart throb

    In ways I wish

    I could just explain.

    My Path

    I close my eyes

    I see nothing

    I cover my ears

    I hear nothing

    I shut my mouth

    I say nothing

    I shed another tear

    Yet it means nothing

    I cry myself to sleep

    Yet it does nothing

    I fall another mile

    Yet I get nowhere

    I climb another mountain

    But there is no victory

    I fake another smile

    But my face is empty

    I draw another map

But there is no treasure chest
