The girl who was the victim of the holocaust

Anne Frank was born on 12 June 1929 in Frankfurt, Germany, the second daughter of Otto Frank Born in the city of Frankfurt am Main in Weimar Germany, she lived most of her life in or near Amsterdam, in the Netherlands.

On 12 th June 1942 she received a book from her father Frank decided she would use it as a diary,and began writing in it almost immediately.

Life in hiding
On the morning of Monday, 6 July 1942,[20] the family moved into their hiding place, a secret annex.

Anne Frank examined her relationships with the members of her family. She considered herself to be closest emotionally to her father. As her confidence in her writing grew as she wrote of more belief in God..Frank aspired to become a journalist

Anne Frank and those in

hiding with her were betrayed to the Nazis on 4 August 1944, resulting in their imprisonment and to concentration camps. Of the eight, only OttoFrank survived. Despite investigations, the identity of their betrayer has never been found and remains one of the mysteries of the Second World War.

In March 1945

a typhus epidemic spread through the camp, killing 17,000 prisoners. Witnesses later testified Margot fell from her bunk in her weakened state and was killed by the shock. A few days later, Anne died.

Miep Gies gave Otto Frank the

diary t in the hope of returning them to Anne. It was first published in Germany and France and UK. The first American edition, published under the title Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl . In Japan, Anne Frank quickly was identified as an important cultural figure who represented the destruction of youth during the war.
