    How can we provide affordable seating for students?

    Project Overview
    In teams, you will design seating using pallets for students to use in
    the outdoor areas. You will then calculate a cost for this design
    including profit and loss. You will present this idea as a business
    proposal to a panel called the Shark Tank. The winning designs
    will be built and the team name and logo will be on the final piece.

    Critique of own work
    Solve problems using percentages, increase or decrease
    Convert decimals (money) to percentages
    Calculate profit and loss
    Oral presentation skills

    First draft of seating design
    Critique first draft, second draft of seating design
    Source pallets and include in costing
    Initial costings of design
    Final costings of design
    Draft presentations

    Present to teacher
    Display in common, vote for best design
    If selected, present to the Shark Tank (Ms Symons, Mr Clark
    & Ms Hoare)

    Final Product
    A presentation to a panel for approval of your idea.
    If successful, your idea will be built.
