CHRIST OUR REDEEMER - SCHOOL NOTE

COR exists to assist parents in training their children as disciples of Christ.

Encourage One Another

In the 2015-16 school year, we have chosen to use the words of 1
Thessalonians 5:11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other
up, just as in fact you are doing as our focus and motivation for everything
we do. Through Chapel talks, daily devotions, and classroom activities the
teachers and students will be reminded daily to encourage each other with
words and actions. Even though our sinful nature desires to take the easier
road of tearing others down, we together will be trying to take the more
difficult path and build each other up.
As part of that encouragement, we will be dedicating one of our bulletin
boards as a place to show how our students, staff, and parents are already
doing just that - Encouraging One Another. If you would like to help with
that bulletin board or have any thoughts or suggestions on how we all can
be encouraged to encourage, please contact Mr. Johnson with your ideas.
REGISTRATION - SCHOOL CLEANING - PTO MEETING: Please join us on
Friday, August 7, for a special day to help us all get ready for the 2015-16
school year. The schedule for the day will be as follows:
4-7p - Mrs. Feld will be on hand to help fill out all the necessary
paperwork. Should take 15-20 minutes.
4-6:30p - Mr. Johnson will coordinate projects to help get the
building and grounds looking sharp for the start of the new
year. Kids can help too!
6:30p - Food! Contact Mr. Johnson with your thoughts or if you
would like to help. This could be pot luck or a meal provided by
PTO.
7p - PTO Meeting - Children can play outside while the adults
plan and discuss events for the 2015-16 school year. Mr.
Johnson will be looking for parents input on a number of items.
Look for more information in future notes. Contact Mr. Johnson
if you or your child in grades 6-8 would like to help with
childcare during the meeting.
If you are not able to register that evening, we will also have registration
after the second service on August 9 until 2p.
