    Established Tanauan as parish by
    Augustinian priests on May 5, 1584. The
    first parish priest was Padre Anotnio Rojas.
    The first church was made out of wood
    during 1690. On 1642, the church was
    given
    a
    bell
    by
    Governor-General
    Corcuera. On 1732, the church was built
    using stone same as Lipa Cathedral.

    to fulfill their evangelization and work for human development.
