Stunts

Definition:
►Are activities in the form of play
that aim to develop coordination,
strength, flexibility, balance and
agility.
Types of stunts:

♪ Individual Stunts
- these are stunts performed by only one person.
♪ Dual Stunts
- are stunts performed by two persons.
♪ Group Stunts
- performed by 3 or more persons.
Individual Stunts
• Turk Stand
- in a cross sitting
position, with arms
crossed in fronts, hands
clasping the elbow,
stand without breaking
the hand clasp and the
leg crossed. Then sit
down in this position.
•Ankles HoldWalk
-hold the ankle with
the hands, legs
relatively straight.
Walk forward.
•Cofee Grinder
-from a side arm
support; walk on
feet to go around
in a circle. Do this
right and left.
•Log Roll
-from a supine
lying position,
clasp hands
overhead, roll
sideward right or
left with the body,
arms and legs are
relatively straight.
•Human Ball
-from a frog
position, hold feet so
that arms are
between the knees.
In tuck position, roll
on the right side
continue on the back
to the left side and
back to starting
position.
•Jump to Full Turn
-from a half knee
bend position,
jump upward at
the same time turn
upward as the
body is
susupended. End
facing the same
direction.
•Dog Walk
-in a four- base
support, buttocks
up walk
alternately right
and left with
hands and feet.
•Lame Dog Walk
-place hands in
front of the floor,
buttocks up and
one leg extended
in air. Move both
hands forward,
and then hop on
supporting foot
close to the hands.
•Inch Worm
-from arm
support, walk on
the feet toward the
hands forward- 8
counts. Then walk
with the hands
forward- 8 counts-
to front arm
support.
•Crab Walk
-from a bridge
stand position,
walk on hands and
feet. Move the
right foot and
hand together and
then the left foot
and hand.
•Hip Walk
-from a long sitting
position with toes
pointed forward,
place hands on the
neck then walk on
buttocks forward
and backward.
Dual Group Stunts
• Wring the Dish Cloth
☻ Partner face each other and
join hands.
☻ Raise one- joined hands
while the other is lowered.
☻ Turn under the raised arms
and end in a back- to- back
position.
☻ Continue the turn to face
each other again.
•Chinese Get- Up
 Long sitting
position, partner stay
in back- to- back
position with elbows
locked.
 Bend right knee ct. 1,
bend left knee ct. 2,
push against others
back to stand ct. 3. Go
down to original
position
•See- saw
♪ From a hook sitting
position, with partner’s
feet together hold each
other’s hands.
♪ One goes to hook lying
postion and other
stands to bend
forward.
♪ Repeat with other
partner standing.
•Jump Over
©One partner stands with
hands on knees, trunk
bend forward.
©The other partner
jumps over the back of
no. 1
•Twister or Greetings
► Partners stand face to face and
shake hands, right to right. Hold this
hand grasp through out the stunt.
► Number 1 lift left leg; Swing it
over joined hands to finish with back
to 2.
► Number 2 lift right leg; Swing it
over joined hands to finish with
back 2.
► Number 1 lift right leg;turn to right,
swing to right, swing leg over No.
2’s body finish facing number 2.
► Number 2 lift leg; swing it to the
left over no. 1’s head to finish facing
No. 1 as in starting position.
► Continue twister several times.
•Wheelbarrow
► The top, the lighter
partner, is the wheelbarrow;
the base is the lifter.
► Top place hands on the
floor, shoulder distance
apart, knees straight weight
on hands and feet.
► Base takes position
between top legs. Grasp the
top’s knees and lift her legs
off the floor as though lifting
of wheelbarrow.
► To finish, base released
top’s knees at a time.
Group Stunts

• Three partner-one jump


over
☻ All join hands
☻3rd partner joins free hands
of 1st and 2nd partner.
☻3rd partner jumps over the
joined hands, forward then
back; partners help on the
jump.
•Walking Chair
► Line up behind one another all
facing the same direction. Hold on
to the hips of the person in front.
►The last in line flexes and hips as if
sitting in a chair. The next to the
last person in line backs up and
assume same position. Back of the
legs should touch thigh of preceding
person. Each one supports their
own weight, and the rest assume the
same position.
► On signal, the entire line moves
forward, keeping in step.
► To finish, all straighten up.
► This gives the effects of a long
drawn out chair.
•Merry-Go-round
► Form a circle and take
double wrist grasp with
performer on each side.
►Number 1, 3, 5 and 7
(Top) sit down on the floor
with knees straight, and
with all feet together in the
center of the circle.
►On the signal ‘go’ number
2,4, 6 and 8 (the bases take
a step outward and at the
same time numbers 1, 3, 5
and 7 raise their hips.)
