    At the start of the week the EU and especially China have surprised investors with positive economic
    data. Following these announcements, crude- and heating oil were able to expand their profits as
    well as the copper markets, which also took notice of the positive development of its world's largest
    consumer - the People's Republic of China.
    The agricultural markets are well on trend, with e.g. sugar reaching a milestone. Also worth
    mentioning is corn, which after a reduction of the harvest forecast by the U.S. Department of
    Agriculture continues to rise. In the meantime, although gold has broken its all-time high it still has
    not come to a significant phase of profit taking. The PICARD ANGST COMMODITY INDEX TR sums up
    the bullish environment with a break through at 950 and the expansion of the rally as of 811 in the
    direction of its yearly high at 994 and the 1000 limit. In the case of profit-taking the 905 to 890 band

    Despite hopes for an improvement in overall economic conditions investors seem determined to
    keep their precious metals exposure. On the contrary, an additional interest in gold can be
    determined, which has since led to the violation of the old record high of 1265.30. Assuming an
    extension of the current bull-wave, the following resistance levels are seen at 1300.00, 1380.00 or
    1410.00. For profit-taking the 1200.00 to 1157.05 band is of importance.
