AK Performing Arts Presents Seussical March 20th 22nd 7:00 pm

Dr. Seuss Book Drive at Ardrey Kell! The Ardrey Kell Theatre Department is proud to announce the kick off our Dr. Seuss Book Drive. This campaign is a part of a school-wide community outreach program and will culminate with a special school-day performance of this years musical, Seussical, on Friday, March 21 for 246 first grade students from Albemarle Road Elementary School. At this event, each of these students will receive a brand new Dr. Seuss book which will be autographed by characters from the show. Its the hope of all involved that this event will help to instill a love of reading and learning in these students, many of whom may have never received a brand new book before. How can you get involved? Its simple! All AK students and families are encouraged to purchase new Dr. Seuss books (bookstores, Wal-mart and Target amongst others all carry them) and turn them in to either Mr. Gabbard or Miss Breeden in the theatre classroom (A224) no later than Monday, March 17. As

mentioned above, the goal is to have at least one new book for every first grader in attendance, so we can use all the help we can get! Questions? Please contact Mr. Gabbard at terryw.gabbard@cms.k12.nc.us. Thanks in advance for your support of this event!
