Product Description
Kit 5792236A02 is designed for replacement of the lefthand lower limit switch and slider arm in a polymer position
indicator. Refer to Table 1 for the kit part list.

INSTALLATION PROCEDURES
Removing Existing Left-Hand Lower
Limit Switch
3.Remove and retain the drag-hand reset solenoid module from the position indicator face. See Figure 4.
1.Unlatch the hasp on the right-hand side of the polymer position indicator to open the main cover. See
Figure 2.

2.Using a standard screwdriver, remove and retain the
thumbscrew on the drag-hand reset solenoid module.
See Figure 3.

9.Remove and retain the position indicator Geneva Gear/
Pointer. See Figure 7.

10.Identify the lower limit switch in the position indicator.
The lower limit switch has green/black wires connected
to the microswitch terminals. The yellow lower slider is
marked with A02 engraved in the slider. See Figure 7.
11.Using a pair of needle-nose pliers, disconnect the
green/black wire female connector from the microswitch male terminal.
12.Remove the A02 yellow lower slider from the position
indicator.

Installing New Left-Hand Lower
Limit Switch
1.Verify that the new left-hand microswitch and slider is
the correct part by verifying that the slider is engraved
with A02.
2.Using a pair of needle-nose pliers, connect the green/
black wire female terminal to each of the new raise A02
limit switch terminals. See Figure 7.

3.Locate the lower limit switch at the 16 L position. See
Figure 8.
4.Replace the Geneva Gear/Pointer into the position
indicator housing. Align the yellow pointer with the slot
at the 12 o'clock position. See Figure 9.

11.Insert the drag-hand reset solenoid module into the
position indicator housing.

Testing Installation and Operation
1.Test the limit switch by positioning the left-hand lower
limit to 8, 10, 12, or 14 L and tap the tap-changer so
that the pointer is at the limit switch setting. When the
limit switch is working properly, the tap-changer will not
step beyond the limit setting.
2.After testing the limit setting, tap the tap-changer back
to neutral. Depress the drag-hand reset switch on the
control panel. The drag hands should return to the
indicator pointer.
