Victim advised the IO and his girlfriend were over yesterday for about 45 minutes
and then left. She got up this morning around 5:45 and was going to take her
prescription medication and noticed that there were 22 pills missing from the
bottle. She advised she just got the script filled on August 12th and had taken 2
pills. There was 6 left in the bottle when she checked this morning. The script was
for 30 pills. She said the IO, which is her ex, has been coming and going because
he had been staying at the shelter and she was allowing him to take showers at her
apartment. She said the suspect, who is the IO`s new girlfriend, has been coming
over with him and she is a known drug abuser. The victim does not believe her ex
would steal anything from her.

The video shows a white female with a red shirt get into and drive off in the
victim`s car. She has been hanging around the Hotel and has even been staying in
the victim`s room. The IO checked in with the victim but was not signed into the
room. He told me the suspect was discovered to be 17 and he began avoiding her.
He named her as a possible suspect saying he had seen her with keys.
Request Crime Scene retrieve the video from the system.

I was dispatched to the above address in reference to a criminal mischief to a


vehicle. The victim, Fingers Jr, states he parked his car in front of his house last
night and came out this morning to find the passenger door window broken.
Fingers Jr states nothing is missing from his car, but the unknown suspect looked
through his glove box and center console.

The Victim stated that he was supposed to show up for work at Rallys this
morning at 0800 hrs. The victim stated that he overslept an hour. He said that
when he went outside to get into his car there was a note form his girlfriend
(offender). The offender is also the manger at the Rallys. The victim stated that
the note made threatening references to the victim and threatened violence against
the victim. The victim said that he drove to Rallys because he was only about an
hour late. He said that he was hoping to smooth things out and be able to go to

work. He said that when he arrived at Rallys the offender came out and grabbed
the letter out of his hands and in the process hit him in the chest. He also thinks
that the offender did something to his car because his car isn`t running right.
The offender came out and talked to me after the victim left. She stated that she
did grab the letter from him and probably inadvertently touched his chest in the
process. She said that she did make some threats to him in the letter because she
was upset about the fact that he had slept with her best friend the night before.
She stated that she wants nothing to do with him and will be getting a protective
order to keep him away. She stated that she didn`t do anything to his car.
He was advised of the procedure to file misdemeanor charges.

Connie Mattingly came outside this morning to let her dog out. She noticed her
Tan 2005 Pontiac Bonneville was missing from the parking lot of Grandview
Towers. She walked around the parking lot but was unable to locate the car.
Connie states her payments are auto deducted and she has the only key, (which she
has). She then called 911 to report her car stolen.
After checking her name in RMS I found where she was the Victim of an
Arson. Further checking showed the Fire Department responded to a car fire at
Heidelbach and Florida on the 14th at 2218 hours. An Arson Report was
generated under Case Number 16-17880. Officers attempted to contact Connie
Mattingly but were unable to reach her by phone.
I took Connie to the location of the vehicle. From there we contacted crime
scene and Detective Richardson. The vehicle was towed to Tri-State Towing.

On 08-11-2016 the suspect deposited $200.00 into his account from his own
checking account by way of an ATM. He then made more deposits the same way
for $300.00, $400.00, and $600.00 for a total of $1,500.00. He did not have money
in his account to cover these deposits. After making those deposits he then turned
around and withdrew $180.00, $200.00, $200.00, and $200.00 with his ATM card
for a total of $780.00. He tried to withdraw more but he was at the ATM limit for
the day. Reporter is trying to get video of the transactions. They tried to contact
the suspect but he would not answer or return their calls.

Officer called for a battery report involving a BB Gun. Victim states that suspect
drove past 1315 Harriet and shot the victim in the right elbow with the gun.
Suspect then drove away. This has been an ongoing problem with the
suspect/victim and the witness.

Officers were dispatched to the Salvation Army at 1040 N Fulton Ave in
reference to subjects fighting and someone being stabbed. It was reported a knife
was involved and that a shot(s) was fired.

I was dispatched to the above address for a burglary in progress. Upon arriving I
was meet by the victim who was driving down the road and said the suspect left.
She was trying to locate the suspect. I had her return to the address to figure out
what was going on . Upon arriving back at the victims house, she stated the
suspect came over to her house kicked in the door. She stated she got the suspect
out of the apartment at which time he hit her in the mouth numerous times, the
victim had redness on the inside of both her lips. She stated the suspect then
grabbed the phone from her and threw it across the alleyway. She stated after that
the suspect and his friend left the apartment walking down the street.
Officers located the suspect at an address on Taylor. He stated the victim
picked him up from a relatives house and they both went to her apartment. He
stated on the drive over they got in an argument over him being with another
female. He stated when he got to her apartment a friend came over and he started
moving stuff out of the apartment. He stated when he was walking away from the
apartment the victim threw a pair of pliers and hit him in the head. He stated after
she threw the pliers she threw her phone at him, at which time he picked it up and
threw it.

Kyle said that he noticed that his motorcycle was missing on 08-14-2016 when he
looked in his garage at 2115 E. Franklin St. He checked to see if it might have
been repossessed by mistake but it had not been. A subject that walks around his
neighborhood told him that he saw a blue older S10 leaving the area with the
motorcycle. The motorcycle was inside a detach garage with the garage down and
the door locked. It appears that someone was able to pulled the garage door up to
get to the motorcycle. The motorcycle is a black Harly Davidson Night Train with
powder coated motor.

Shayla left her residence at approximately 2100 hours and went to spend the
night with her boyfriends house. At approximately 0200 hours she received a text
from the suspect wanting her to call him. When she called him he stated he
wanted a few of her pills. Shayla told him that no, and that she wasn`t even home
anyway.
At approximately 1100 hours today the manager for the apartment complex
called Shayla`s cell phone. The manager told her somebody had broken into her
apartment.
Shayla began driving to the apartment and called the suspect and said if my
pills are missing I know you did it. He denied breaking into her apartment and
stated you can`t have the cops coming over here.
When Shayla arrived home she found the back kitchen window broken out and
her bottle of Klonopin missing. There was nothing else taken from the residence.
Crime Scene was called to process the scene.

[am] (C), at 1726 S New York Ave, Evansville, IN, between 15:00, 08/14/2016 and
07:00, 08/15/2016. Reported: 08/15/2016.
I was dispatched to the above address in reference to a burglary report. The
reporter, Francis, is the maintenance person for the owner of the property who is
renovating the property. Francis states he was working on the house yesterday.
When he left, there was no damage to the house, when he came to work on the
house today, he found both front and rear door kicked in and two windows broken.
Francis showed me a chainsaw that was laying in the backyard. Francis stated the
chainsaw was inside the house. The chainsaw appears to have been thrown
through the window in the rear of the house which broke it. Nothing appears to
have been stolen, just that the house was broken into and vandalized. Francis is
now boarding up the house in an effort to prevent further damage.

Officers were dispatched to 1507 Jeanette Ave for a theft report. The victim told
officers that she was alerted by her landlord that he had never received her August
rent payment. The victim told officers that she had placed a money order for
$405.00 into her outgoing mailbox on 08/03/2016. The victim said she contacted
the post office, and learned that an unknown subject had come into the post office
at Washington/Weinbach, sometime between 08/03/2016 and 08/11/2016,
presented themselves as the victim, and obtained new keys for the mailbox. Since
then the post office had changed the lock on the mailbox and the victim was not
able to get her mail. The victim told officers that she has cleared the issue up with
the post office, but requested a theft report for the stolen money order. The victim
was given the case number.

Evansville, IN, between 16:00, 08/10/2016 and 12:00, 08/12/2016. Reported:
08/15/2016.
On 081016 at 1600hrs, Lovell attempted to purchase a, 2007 GMC Denali,
through an E-Bay site. The seller, listed suspect, requested $4,500.00 from Lovell
for payment of the vehicle, but she wanted it with Walmart gift cards. Lovell
purchased 9 $500.00 gift cards from Walmart. She then phoned the suspect and
spoke to a male subject. She gave him the card numbers. The vehicle was
suppose to be delivered on 081216, but did not arrive. Lovell then contacted
E-Bay and was told that the site for the vehicle listed was not theirs and that she
had been a victim of fraud. They then advised her to call her local police and file a
report. In hopes of getting reimbursed from E-Bay she needed to provide them

On 08/15/2016, at approximately 1433 hundred hours, officers were dispatched to


1704 Washington Avenue for a disorderly conduct.
Officers arrived and located a male who had been hit in the face and was bleeding
from his nose. See officer narrative for further.
Victim contacted records 1845 hours to report that harassment. Victim stated that
today between 0830 and 1815 hours offender2 contacted him 3 times. Victim
stated that each time offender2 contacted him she threatened his life. Victim stated

Washington Ave/s Morton Ave, Evansville, IN, between 14:46, 08/15/2016 and
14:48, 08/15/2016. Reported: 08/15/2016.
Officers were dispatched to an accident with injuries at Washington and Morton
Ave. Upon arrival the victim stated he was riding his bicycle East on Washington.
The victim then stated that he was then struck from behind by a truck. Witnesses
on scene stated that a blue truck hit the victim, pulled over for a brief moment then
took off driving East on Washington. Officers were unable to locate the suspect
vehicle at this time. The victim was taken to St. Mary`s Hospital by AMR Unit
0303. The victim was transported immediately due to the laceration on his head
and his hip possibly being knocked out of socket.

Officers were dispatched to meet with fire personnel in regards to a fire that EFD
responded to. On scene we met with the RP who stated that yesterday, the
residents of the house were smoking on the front porch. When they went to put out
their cigarette, the ash tray caught fire. The residence quickly got the fire
extinguished.

An officer was dispatched to 1008 N Weinbach Ave in reference to a battery


report. Upon arrival, the female victim stated the suspect suddenly got mad at her
about a cell phone. The female victim stated she was not trying to hide any from
the suspect so she does not know why he became upset. The female victim stated
she was told her friend to take her somewhere to get away from the suspect. The
female victim stated she ran out of the home and the suspect chased her down the
alley. The female victim stated the suspect grabbed her, threw her on the ground
and began kicking her. The female victim stated the suspect kicked her in her ribs,
knees, and legs. The suspect then punched the female victim in her forehead,
where she received a knot on the right side of the forehead. The suspect`s brother
stated he and the suspect then got into a fight. The male victim stated the suspect
picked up a large brick and threw it at the vehicle the juvenile victim was in. The
male victim stated he was afraid that the brick was going to go through the
vehicle`s window and hit the juvenile victim. The vehicle received a shattered
front windshield. The suspect then fled the scene and officers were unable to
located.

On 08-15-2016 at approximately 1618 FTO S. Toney and I, Officer C. Little, were


dispatched to 621 W Columbia St (Columbia Nursing Plaza) to take a theft report.
We met with Julie Brugh (RP); she is a social worker at the nursing home. She
informed officer two residents of the nursing home had money stolen from their
rooms.
I first spoke with Rita Brown (VI); she stated sometime between Friday
(08-12-2016) and Saturday (08-13-2016) someone entered her room and took $21
from an envelope in her dresser. She does not know who could have taken the
money.
I spoke next with Angela Allbright (VI); she stated sometime between Thursday
(08-04-2016) and Saturday (08-06-2016) someone entered her room and took $10
she had hidden in a sock in her dresser. She does not know who could have taken
the money.
A case number was left with Brugh.

On 08-15-2016 at approximately 1533 FTO S. Toney and I, Officer C. Little,


responded to 514 W Oregon St Apartment B for a report of criminal mischief.
When we arrived I spoke with Roy McKinney (VI); he stated the listed offender
threw a piece of concrete through his upstairs window. I observed broken glass
from the window McKinney had in a bucket from cleaning up the mess. He
informed me he already repaired part of the window with a piece of plexi glass.
FTO S. Toney spoke with Wayne Shelton (WI) whom lives at 514 W Oregon St
Apartment C. He stated he was outside on the porch of his apartment when he saw
the listed offender throw the piece of concrete and break the window.
McKinney was given a case number.

On 08/15/2106 at approximately 1902 hours, I, Ofc. R. Smith, was dispatched to


Kentucky Ave./Diamond Ave. in reference to a motor vehicle accident. Upon
arrival, I spoke with involved other, Sliver Nelson, who stated that as she was
traveling west bound on Diamond Ave. near the bridge located at Diamond Valley
Lanes, a rock was dropped at the front right tire causing it to be flattened. Nelson
was unable to provide any suspect information.

1309 E. Eichel Ave. in reference to a criminal mischief report. Upon arrival, I
spoke with victim, Urban Schaefer, who stated that his daughter was mowing the
grass of the property and observed that the back door of the garage was open on
08/13/2016 at approximately 1300 hours. Schaefer stated to me that his daughter
mows the grass weekly. Schaefer stated that he walked through the garage and has
not observed anything missing at this time. The door was damaged by a wooden
plank being removed from it. No further information at this time.

Officer was dispatched to 200 S Green River Rd, Kim`s Scrub Connection, in
reference to a subject looking through an employee`s purse.
Upon arriving I spoke with V-G. Gray who is an employee. Gray said that she had
gone to the back room and found a black male kneeling down on the floor going
through her purse. Gray said that she screamed at the male and he ran passed her,
through the store, shoved the front glass door open and kept going to the
south/east. Gray checked her purse and found nothing missing. When the male
shoved the door open it knocked the door off the hinges and had to be repaired.
A witness-T. Hunter was in the store at the time of the listed incident. Hunter said
that she had seen the male earlier walking toward the store from the west side of
Green River Rd. When he got to the store he met up with a white female that was
outside the store. Both then entered the store and went separate directions. The
female had acted as if she were looking for scrubs, while the male walked toward
the back of the store. Hunter said that the female was in her early 40`s, about 5
foot, thin, blondish red hair and wearing gray scrubs with Columbia Healthcare
embroidered on them. The male was a dark skinned black male, with facial hair,
jean shorts and a gray tshirt.
The owner IO-K.T. arrived shortly after police. She was given the case number
for future reference.

arrival, I spoke with victim, Aimee Green, who stated that as she was traveling
west bound on Diamond Ave. near the bridge located at Diamond Valley Lanes, a
rock was dropped at the front right tire causing it to be flattened. Green was unable
to provide any suspect information.

that he threw the bat inside of the car striking her in the face, causing her nose to

arrival. Officers were unable to locate the offender and the victim was given a
case number and told her how to follow up with the process.

stealing mouthwash. Upon our arrival, the reporter stated that the offender walked
into the store, went directly to the mouthwash, grabbed a bottle and left, passing
all points of purchase without paying for the merchandise. The reporter showed
officers the surveillance footage and we were able to identify him as the offender.
The reporter wanted a report to document the incident for his boss.

On 08/15/2016 at approximately 1945 hours, I, Ofc. R. Smith, was dispatched to


723 E. Oregon St. in reference to a family dispute. Upon arrival, I spoke with
involved other, Dewayne Powers, who stated that a white female, later identified
as Erica Sanders, and a white male were behind his address and damaged the
window of his garage. Powers stated that the female looked as if she was in trouble
and attempted to help her. Powers stated to me that Sanders went to 722 E. Oregon
and the residents there assisted Sanders. Powers did not want anything done about
his damaged window.
I then went to 722 E. Oregon St. and spoke with Sanders, who stated to me that her
ex-boyfriend started a verbal altercation with her behind Powers` residence.
Sanders stated that the offender pushed her down to the ground 3 times causing
her to have pain in her back. Sanders stated to me that she is 2 to 3 months
pregnant. Sanders stated that the offender is not the father of her child. Sanders
suffered a severe gash on her right middle finger on her right hand when she
attempted to protect herself from the offender. Sanders struck a wall causing the
injury. AMR arrived on seen to examine Sanders hand. Sanders refused medical
treatment, but advised that she was going to the hospital on her own.
Crime scene was contacted to photograph Sanders` hand injury.
