Methodist Men
meets every second
Sunday at 7:30 am
with the men of
Central UMC.
The men will man a
Dunking Booth at
the Crazy Water
Festival Oct. 8th. We
need anyone who is
available that day to
help. Remember, it is
a fun, exciting, and
sometimes wet place
to be during the
festival!
This months
meeting is at Central
the day after the
festival on Oct. 9th.
Come join us for a
program, fellowship
and a full breakfast!
Leadership Meetings
Our Leadership Teams will begin meeting
monthly, every third Sunday, using the
following schedule:
Attendance
Sept. 4 76 (3 visitors)
Sept. 11 106 (3 visitors)
Sept. 18 102 (8 visitors)
Sept. 25 83(9 visitors)
Please help us by recording your attendance in our
attendance booklets on each pew. If you haven't been
recording your attendance, please do so. It really
helps us keep a record of our church's attendance.
Parents, please add your children's names, as well,
even if they go to the nursery during the morning
service. Their attendance needs to be counted, too.
We would also ask the choir to fill out an attendance
form, too. A booklet will be placed in the first chair of
the first row of the choir. Thanks again for your help.
God Bless,

Jesus Sings!
Scripture tells us that after the Last
Supper, Jesus and the disciples sang a
hymn. Often I have wondered what
kind of hymn Jesus would sing? Did
Jesus ever walk around and have a
catchy tune in his head? Did he clap
his hands and tap his feet when he
sang? Did he have a favorite? What
was his least favorite hymn?
Some religious scholars suggest they
sang the Hebrew Hallel, which is a
prayer that recites Psalms 113118. Chapter 116 begins, " I love that
the Lord hears my voice and my
requests. Because He inclines His ear
to me, I will praise Him all of my
days."
What an awesome truth in which to
sing! The Hubble space telescope
shows us a tiny fraction of Gods
creation, yet God hears MY voice. He
has "focused hearing," like that of a
mother that can distinguish the
sounds of her own child crying over
the sounds of other babies.
When we sing our hymns to God, he
hears us. I know that He, and the
heavenly chorus of angels sing about
us! If you're not singing to the Lord
now, it's time to get started, because
we are going to be singing in Heaven!
No auditions ever, so no need to be
scared! Lots of seats available!
Practice is Wednesdays @ 7 pm.
Blessings, Don
