STOCK PILE CALCULATION

Total Length of Stockpile L= 435 m

Total width of pile B= 50 m
Height of Stockpile h= 8 m
Repose angle of coal u = 35 deg.
Density of material u = 0.8 T/m3

Calculation:

Length a= height / tan u

a= 11.43 m

Length b= Base Width - 2*a

b= 27.15 m

Length c= Length - 2*a

c= 412.15 m

1) Calculation for Vol. of Portion A

Where A= A1 + A2 + A3 + A4

Since total vol. is cone

Vol. V1 = u *a2*h / 3

V1 = 1093.57 m3
2) Calculation for Vol. of Portion B

Where B= B1 + B2

Vol. V2 = (1/2 * base * ht)*length

V2 = (1/2*a*h)*b

V2 = 1240.76

Since it is a 2 nos. of Triangular

V2 = 2481.52 m3

3) Calculation for Vol. of Portion C

Since it is a Trapazodial section

Vol. V3 = [(B + b)/2]*h*c

V3 = 127188.77 m3

So, Total Volume of Stockpile

V= V1 + V2 + V3

V= 130763.85 m3

Total Capacity (for one stockpile only)

W= Volume x density

W= 104611.08 T

BMCR = 653.3 TPH
