    MERAAS LAND Project 
    List of Items from Secondary Side Requires Tabreed Review  
     
    A. During Design Stage: 
    1. HVAC system brief description and schematics. 
    2. Building maximum working pressure. 
    3. Buildings cooling loads, CHW flow rates, design temperatures and equipment schedule. 
    4. Project flow diagram, indicating each building CHW flow, pipe sizes and connection 
    details. 
    5. Control schematic diagrams in‐light with the Tabreed standard ETS secondary side 
    connection schematic diagram (Appendix‐A to the design guideline, copy attached). 
    6. Control philosophy. 
    7. ETS services provisions: 
    i. Permanent power supply through breaker inside the MCC panel (supplied by 
    secondary side) for the control component in case the ETS is located inside the 
    building.  
    ii. Permanent power supply through breakers inside the MCC panel (supplied by 
    secondary side) for the control component and the ETS room lighting fixtures in case 
    the ETS is standalone building.  
    iii. All ETS room Building services such as lighting, firefighting through sprinkler, fire 
    suppression inside the electrical room, fire alarm, water supply and drainage shall be 
    to be provided be the secondary side in case the ETS is located inside the building. 
    iv. All ETS room utilities tie‐in provisions (such as, firefighting connection to the building 
    system, fire alarm, water supply and drainage except power supply) shall be 
    provided by the secondary side at the battery limit (5 Mts from the ETS boundary).   
       
    B. During Construction Stage: 
    1. Control materials submittal according to Tabreed design guideline and technical 
    specifications for hardware, software and communication protocol of the control 
    components. 
    2. Power and control conduits and cables inside the ETS which shall be executed by the 
    secondary side contractor, material submittal, and workshop drawings to be submitted 
    for Tabreed review / approval, duly reviewed and approved by the secondary side 
    consultants. 
    3. Termination and control cables connection to Tabreed PLC, which shall be executed by 
    the secondary side contractor, method statement and inspection request required to be 
    submitted for Tabreed review / approval. 
    4. Air side equipment factory testing reports that identify the selected chilled water coils 
    heat transfer are actually achieving the specified temperature difference at full load and 
    part load conditions. 
    5. Hydraulic model for the secondary side that identifying the index point (where Delta P 
    sensor shall be installed) for each sub‐CHW circuits. 
    6. Chilled water secondary pumps material submittal, data sheet and selection. 
    7. MCC and VFD for secondary chilled water pumps material submittal and data sheet. 
    8. External chilled water piping material submittal.

    C. During Testing and Commissioning Stage: 
    1. Flushing and chemical cleaning method statement required to be submitted for Tabreed 
    review / comments. 
    2. Tabreed shall witness the final flushing stage and collecting the water samples after 
    creating water turbulence inside the secondary system to 110 % of the design velocity.  
    3. Connection permit to Tabreed HEX shall be provided upon the water samples results 
    from the secondary system achieving or exceeding the water parameters specified in 
    Tabreed guideline. 
    4. Chilled water final balancing report. 
    5. Cause and effect matrix (I/O list with description of controls philosophy) relevant to the 
    CHW control elements. 
    6. Delta P set point over the year, with supporting calculations. 
        
    D. After Testing and Commissioning and System in Operation Stage:   
    1. Verification of the control complements performance: 
    Building side consultant / control contractor / TAB specialist / Commissioning authority shall 
    conduct demonstration to Tabreed at site for the actual performance of the CHW control 
    component and implementation of the control philosophy. Prior to the site demonstration, 
    secondary side shall submit brief methodology and procedure which will be followed during 
    the site demonstration for Tabreed review / approval. In case Tabreed raise any comments 
    and/or not satisfied with the performance, the secondary side shall be responsible for any 
    corrective measures and closing out all the snags, till meeting the specified performance.
