Project Management
 Presently working in a green field project in a five star hotel category of Oberoi hotels
and resorts at Chandigarh, looking after all engineering services design and
execution
 Carried out the complete renovation of 160 rooms for all services at The Oberoi
Bangalore in two phases by keeping the hotel in operation in 2012 and 2013 ( Total
project cost for both phases 70 crores ). Also renovated all the F&B outlets in 2011.
 Successfully completed the Renovation of SPA at the Oberoi Bangalore
 Conducting feasibility studies, assessing capital cost involved and evaluating the viability
of new projects.
 Implementing detailed engineering activities, finalization of requirements and
specifications.
 Preparing technical specifications & scope and deliverables, estimates and based on
requirements generated during detailed engineering of the project.
 Resource Planning/Scheduling and tracking of progress of the project based on current
trends.
 Managing preparation of Bill of Quantities, Drawings, Finalizations of Vendors, Issue of
Work Orders and executing the work.
 Evaluating & efficacious management of contracting works for successful execution of
projects.
Operations
 Setting up facility management at The Oberoi Bangalore including finalizing SLA with
different agencies, finalizing AMC’s long term etc.
 Providing leadership to the maintenance team to focus on providing proactive
maintenance solutions
 Conducting technical meetings within the maintenance department to preview
standards and formulate maintenance schedules.
 Successfully handled classification of Five Star Deluxe category four times in my
service.
Maintenance and Trouble Shooting

 Planning and effecting preventive & predictive maintenance / overhauling / repair
schedules of various machineries & instruments to increase machine up time and long
term equipment reliability.
 Proactively identifying areas of obstruction/breakdowns and taking corrective measures /
steps to rectify the equipments through application of trouble shooting tools.
 Ensuring all the machineries work efficiently by conducting timely checks & measures.
Innovative and value engineering and cost control

 Identifying area of improvement, recommending process modifications and
equipment calibrations to enhance operational efficiencies of the machinery based
on pre-set parameters
 Monitoring maintenances expenses with optimum utilization of resources
Installation & Commissioning

 Preparing layouts for the project as per the process and material flow needs.
 Foreseeing performance bottlenecks and taking corrective measures to avoid the same.
 Site preparations, mobilization of contractors for carrying out erection activities.
 Ensuring effective site management and discipline to ensure safe execution of the
projects.
 Installation, commissioning of equipments, providing utility services to the equipments.

 Supervising and monitoring the performance level of the staff for ensuring
accomplishment of the target.
 Organizing regular periodic meetings & trainings for staff & engineers for discussing
current work issues and devising solutions for enhanced operations.

 New systems : Introduced periodical preventive maintenance for all engineering
equipments and Guest rooms which resulted to Zero defect.
By introducing Maintenance management system ( Triton ) resulted in timely completion
of the job.
 Critical issues : Throughout my service always concentrated on recovery of waste
energy by reusing sewage water, condensate etc.
