    425-525 MW CCPP Nandipur Gujranwala

    Daily Progress Report

    Dated 13-04-2020
    DAILY REPORT

    Overview:
    Visited the power plant site and followed the operation and maintenance
    activities performed during the day.

    Operation Activities:
    The operation activities of the day are listed below:
    1) The turning gears of all three gas turbines and the steam turbine were engaged
    for two hours as part of weekly operation activities during the shutdown period of
    the complex.
     Turning Gear of GT-1 was engaged at 9:42AM and stopped at 11:42AM.
     Turning gear of GT-2 was engaged at 9:41AM and stopped at 11:41AM.
     Turning gear of GT-3 was engaged at 9:45AM and stopped at 11:45AM.
     Turning Gear of ST was engaged at 9:34AM and stopped at 11:40AM.
    2) Steam turbine portable lube oil purifier was taken in service for 8 hours.

    Maintenance Activities:

    During the day following maintenance activities were witnessed:

    HP Live Steam MOV:


    The copper sleeve of Motor operated valve of HP live steam of HRSG-3 was
    replaced. The valve operated perfectly by motor but when the

    valve was operated manually, the valve got stuck. The maintenance team tried to
    solve the issue but the issue still persists, tomorrow the work will continue on this
    MOV.

    Condenser Tubes Cleaning:


    The jet cleaning of condenser water box side B was performed with Fussen
    FS22/50 high pressure cleaner. The pressure of water was adjusted at 200 bar and
    water was injected into each tube for 25 seconds. This activity is continued for a
    number of days and will continue tomorrow. The size of jet cleaning gun was also
    adjusted to make it easier for the person to clean the tubes.
    DAILY REPORT

    Condenser Side A:
    The scaffolding from the condenser water box side A was removed.

    Lugs and Terminals:


    The inspection activity of heat sensors, Lugs and terminals strips of GT-3 was
    carried out by I&C department. During the activity, faulty lugs were also replaced.

    20VG-8 Valve:
    The 20 VG-8 vent valve of gas line was showing wrong indication on the HMI
    screen. I&C department worked on it and fixed the issue.

    HP/LP Feed Water Pumps:


    The cleaning activity of HP/LP feed water pumps was performed by mechanical
    maintenance department.
