(2) For any damage not covered by the step 3.D.(1), do a check of the probe in
workshop during sheduled maintenance procedures (A or C Checks, etc.). Refer
to the inspection part of the CMM 341153 for Thales Pitot probe or CMM 341109
for Rosemount (Aerospace)/Goodrich Pitot probe.

E. Connection of the Dry Nitrogen Source
(1) Disconnect the quick-disconnect coupling from the total Pitot probe 1 (2 or 3).
(2) Connect FLUSHING TOOL-PITOT PROBE (98F34103003000) to the quick-
disconnect coupling of the pitot probe 1 (2 or 3). Then connect the flushing tool to
a NITROGEN COMPRESSED SOURCE 2 BAR (29 PSI) - DRY.
(3) Attach the hose to prevent movement.
4. Procedure
Subtask 34-10-00-170-061-A
A. Cleaning of the Pitot Probe Drain-Holes (for Thales Pitot Probes)
(1) Blow the gas into the hose at a pressure of 2 bars (29 psi) for approximately 3
minutes, and at the same time:
(a) Clean the drain holes of the Pitot probe 1 (2 or 3) with a CLEANER-PITOT
PROBE (98D34103004001) and a WIRE - NYLON diameter 0.7 mm (0.027
inch) then 0.8 mm (0.031 inch).
(2) Make sure that there is no contamination in the pressurized gas at the outlet of the
Pitot probe 1 (2 or 3).
(3) Stop the flow of gas.
(4) Disconnect the dry nitrogen source.
(5) Disconnect the FLUSHING TOOL-PITOT PROBE (98F34103003000) from the
pitot probe 1 (2 or 3).
(6) Connect the quick-disconnect coupling to the Pitot probe 1 (2 or 3).
(7) Make sure that you can see the blue ring on the quick-disconnect coupling.
(8) Pull the quick-disconnect coupling to make sure that it is correctly attached.
(9) Make sure that the quick-disconnect coupling is correctly engaged (the pin located
on the quick-disconnect male part is fully engaged into the groove located in the
quick-disconnect female part).

C. After the Cleaning Procedure
(1) If you disconnect Pitot probe 3 (9DA3), or if you disconnect more than one Pitot
probe, a second qualified mechanic must do a visual inspection of the quick-
disconnect coupling connections.
(2) The two mechanics must sign off the job.
(3) Make sure that the quick-disconnect coupling is correctly engaged (the pin located
on the quick-disconnect male part is fully engaged into the groove located in the
quick-disconnect female part).
