    GENERAL: AKM contact thermometers Series 34 for oil temperature and Series 35
    for winding temperature can be fitted with precision potentiometers for
    remote indication. The resistance characteristic of the potentiometer
    gives a relationship between the indicated temperature on the thermo-
    meter and the resistance of the potentiometer corresponding to that of
    conventional resistance thermometers.
    This gives several advantages over the conventional method with a
    separate resistance thermometer: e.g. lower cost, no errors due to
    different time constants etc.

    TECHNICAL DATA: Housing: The potentiometer is mounted inside


    the instrument, well protected.
    Connections: According to TD 34.
    Current: Max. 20 mA.
    Accuracy:
    (Related to local indication
    excl. conn. lead wire error) ± 1,5 °C for Pt 100 ohms at 0 °C
    ± 3 °C for Cu 10 ohms at 25 °C
    Ambient temperature: Min. –40°C max. +70°C.
    Mechanical life: Meets BEBS-T2. Section XXVIII:
    F2.1(a) requirement (min. 1000 hours
    vibration test at 100 Hz and 0.2 to 0.25
    mm vertical amplitude).
    Breakdown test
    voltage to earth: 2000 V, 50 Hz, 60 s.

    TYPES: Corresponding to
    resistance element: Pt 100 ohms at 0°C acc. to DIN IEC 751.
    Cu 10 ohms at 25°C acc. to IEEE 119.
