ACTIVITY 1.

Read the LDM Course Overview. Reflect on the overview by answering the following questions. Write down
your insights in your Study Notebook.
1. What is the main delivery of this course?
 The main delivery of this course is on instructional implications of using different LDMs

2. How can this course help ensure that you will be able to deliver quality instruction in
the “new normal”?
 It helps improved my readiness in using different Learning Delivery Modality in the new normal set up of
education.
 Helped in decision-making in Choosing Appropriate Learning Delivery Modality for my learners.

3. What are the two support mechanisms that will help you with your learning in this
course?
 Design and Implementation Principles and Guidelines
 Internal and External Learning Service Providers

LESSON 2: ORGANIZING YOUR LEARNING ACTION CELL (LAC)

ACTIVITY 1.
Begin by refreshing your memory on the Learning Action Cell. Read DepEd Order No. 35s. 2016 titled “The
Learning Action Cell as the K to 12 Basic Education Program School Based Continuing Professional
Development Strategy for the Improvement of Teaching and Learning.”

Once you’re done, answer the following questions. Write your responses and any other ideas and reflections in
your Study Notebook.

1. Reflect on the objectives for conducting LAC sessions as listed in DO 35, s. 2016.
Rank the following objectives from easiest to the most difficult to achieve:

1 To enable teachers to support each other to continuously improve their content
and pedagogical knowledge, practice, skills, and attitudes
2 To foster a professional collaborative spirit among School Heads, teachers, and
the community as a whole

2. What are the top three challenges to having a successful LAC? List down and
elaborate.
 First, some teachers are not motivated because of some reasons.
 Second, since the teachers are not motivated, they are reluctant in involving their participation.
 Lastly, these teachers do not have quality outputs because they were not motivated,

ACTIVITY 2.
According to DO 35, s. 2016, a LAC should have no less than 2 but not more than
15 members each. Get in touch with your designated Coach or LAC Leader in forming
your LACs.

1. Agree on a date and time to meet and discuss forming your LACs. Follow LAC
Session 1 Guide for the conduct of your LAC.
 We have decided that the date and time of our LAC Session 1 will be on September 3, 2020 at exactly
8:00 in the morning
2. During this meeting, decide on your groupings and designate one LAC Facilitator and
one LAC Leader per LAC.
 We have combined both Araling Panlipunan, Technology and Livelihood Education, MAPEH, EsP and
Filipino teachers in this group and our group number is 14. We have also decided that the LAC Leader
is Mrs.Jessabel Carla L. Bautista while the LAC Facilitator is Mr. Kevin Jhun B. Sagun
3. Note the following in forming your LACs:
• LACs should be composed of teachers. Discuss your preferred LAC composition
with your assigned Instructional Coach (this will be a district or division supervisor
assigned to your LAC).
 Our Instructional Coach is no other than our Public School District Supervisor, Dr. Christopher L.
Infante
• After forming your respective LACs, there should a LAC Leader assigned to you
from among the following school members:
» Master Teacher
 No LAC Leader for Master Teacher since we do not have any master teacher in our group
» Head Teacher/Department Head
 No LAC Leader for Head Teacher or Department Head since we do not have any Head Teacher or
Department Head in our group
» Other senior teachers who have proven competence, potential to lead, or
subject expertise to lead the LAC.
 Our LAC Leader for the senior teachers is Mrs. Jessabel Carla L. Bautista, the Araling Panlipunan
Focal Person of Tagudin National High School
• Teacher LACs can connect with their Instructional Coach through the LAC Leader.
This Instructional Coach will also be handling multiple LACs through a network of
LAC Leaders.

ACTIVITY 3.
List down the members of your LAC and their respective roles in your Study Notebook.

 LAC Leader. He/ She will be the discussant/speaker of the day


 Facilitator. He/ She will keep the session flowing smoothly
 Documenter. He/ She will collect basis or proof e.g narrative report and photos of the session
