    Lesson Plan

    Topic: Listening (Frog doesn’t wash his feet) Subject: English


    Age: 7 years
    Grade: 1 Class: 1-A
    No. of students: 30 Time: 45 minutes
    Learning style: Auditory learners / Visual learners / Kinesthetic learners
    Learner ability: 8 students are with high ability, 15 students are average, and 7 students are with
    low ability
    Teaching aids: Song, A4 color papers, Worksheet
    Objective: By the end of the lesson 70% students must be able to:
    Listen to the song and fill in the blanks with appropriate letters
    List down words with the given vowel letter

    Set-induction Teacher activity: Student activity:


    5 min Write/show them the vowel letters and ask them Student respond by giving
    what they are. Ask them questions like: which answers
    letter makes the sound ‘ae’, ask about words E.g.: they are vowel letters, hat
    with specific sounds etc... has a sound… etc

    20 min
    Play them the song and talk about the frog in Talk about the frog and the
    the video. vowel sounds
    Distribute the worksheets after playing the song
    once Listen to the song and
    Ask them to fill in the blanks while they listen complete the blanks given on
    to the song the worksheet
    (The song might be a little fast, so slow down
    the playback speed and play it so that they can
    fill the blanks easily)

    Give them the correct answers and ask them to Check their works
    check their work
    Play and sing out the song with them one more Sing out the song. Try to
    time pronounce the letters with
    Read out the word and make them fill in the different sounds
    blanks in the 2nd activity in the worksheet
    Listen to the teacher and fill in
    the blanks in 2nd activity
    Check their works

    Make them sit in 5 groups. Give each group one Work in groups and list down
    vowel letter and ask them to write 4 – 7 words words with vowel sound
    with that vowel sound and present it to the
    class. (group work / make sure all the students
    participate)
