ABS systems equipped with PLC

J45539, Power Line Carrier (PLC) Tester is necessary to troubleshoot or test the vehicle communication function of
the ABS, which uses a new ABS Power Line Carrier Communication system. It can be used to test either tractor or
trailer PLC communication systems.
For testing of tractor/truck systems, only J45539 is needed. For testing of stand alone (un-powered) trailer systems, the
J45539-BATT is required to power up the trailer ABS system during troubleshooting.

Note: No battery adapter is needed if the tractor/truck can be used as the power source.

Note: Only trailers manufactured after March 2001 will have this PLC ABS system.
For stand alone testing only, optional power cable J45539–BATT can be obtained by calling Kent–Moore at
1-800-328-6657. For multiple trailer testing, (doubles, triples) each trailer must be tested individually.
