1. PLANNING INFORMATION
A. Effectivity
This Vendor Service Bulletin (VSB) is applicable to the following lights:
LED Wing Engine Scan Light LH, P/N 2LA456335-01, AMDT. A
LED Wing Engine Scan Light RH, P/N 2LA456335-02, AMDT. A
B. Concurrent Requirements
None.
C. Reason
This VSB has been issued to inform the operators about the introduction of a new Capacitor in the
LED Main Board Assy, caused by obsolescence. Due to the new Capacitor, the P/N of the LED
Main Board Assy changes:

D. Description
With the installation of the new LED Main Board Assy, the AMDT of the LED Wing Engine Scan

In case the LED Main Board Assy fails within the standard warranty period acc. to SSC, the
modification will be done free of charge by the above listed MRO. In all other cases, the
modification will be charged to the customer.
Work done by the Operator:
The Operator can perform the VSB according to the Accomplishment Instructions in Section 3 of
this VSB.
The parts required for accomplishment of this VSB may be procured separately from Goodrich
Lighting Systems.

3. ACCOMPLISHMENT INSTRUCTIONS
A. General
Manuals listed in section 1 of this VSB provide applicable disassembly, cleaning, inspection,
reassembly and testing instructions and shall be referred to during the accomplishment of the
following operations.
B. Preparation
WARNING: MAKE SURE THAT YOU OBEY ALL THE WARNINGS AND ALL THE CAUTIONS
INCLUDED IN THE REFERENCED PROCEDURES.

C. Procedure

Removal of the LED Main Board Assy 9BG417031-10 or 9BG417030-10
(1) Remove the Countersunk Screws (1-10) to remove the Lens Assy (1-5) from the Housing
Assy (1-42).
(2) Remove the Countersunk Screws (1-25) and Bushings (1-30) to remove the LED Main
Board Assy (1-20 or 1-20A) from the Housing (1-110).
(3) Disconnect the electrical connection between the Plug (1-45) and the Receptacle (1-35A).
Installation of the LED Main Board Assy 9BG417031-11 or 9BG417030-11
(1) Connect the Plug (1-45) and the Receptacle (1-35A).
(2) Install the LED Main Board Assy (1-20B or 1-20C) with the Countersunk Screws (1-25) and
Bushing (1-30).
(3) Install the Lens Assy (1-5) on the Housing Assy (1-42) with Countersunk Screws (1-10).
Apply a torque value of 7 Ibf-in (0.8 Nm).

D. Re-identification of equipment
Re-identify the LED Wing Engine Scan Light. Update the Amendment status on the label with a
waterproof pen. Refer to the following table for the applicable Amendment status :

E. Test
