    Semi Detailed Lesson Plan in Science Types of Volcanoes

    I. Objectives:

    At the end of the lesson the student will be able to:

    a. Design an emergency plan and prepare an emergency kit for use at


    home and in school

    b. Differentiate what to do after and during earthquake

    c. Appreciate how being prepared to earthquake helps our life.

    II. Subject Matter

    Topic: Earth Preparedness

    Reference: Grade 9 Science Book

    Materials: Power point presentation, cartolina paper, coloring materials and marker

    III. Procedure

    A. Review

    Ask about the previous lesson.

    What they learn from the last lesson.

    Ask the student if they really understand the previous lesson.

    B. Motivation

    Picture games

    Ask the class to guess if the picture is effect of disaster or not

    Ask the class to guess what kind of disaster are the reason in those picture

    C. Activities
    Divide the class into four groups

    Each group will follow the instruction given in the activity

    The teacher will check the work of each group

    D. Abstraction

    The teacher will elaborate the importance of preparedness during earthquake

    E. Application

    The teacher let the student read the question on the screen and let them answer.

    IV.

    F. Assessment

    The student will answer the question given by the teacher.

    V.

    G. Assignment

    Search how volcanic eruption happen.
