What is mental health?  The way you cope with the


demands of daily lives. Being
able to solve problems is also a
part of good mental health.
People who have good mental
health usually are:
 Able to handle stress
effectively and to solve
problems.
 Open to new ideas and
new ways of doing
things; and
 Able to adjust to change.

 Has to do with how you express


What is emotional health? your feelings. Sharing your
feelings with others is important
for your emotional health.
People who good emotionally
health do these things:
 Express their emotions in
a healthy manner
 Deal with sadness and
ask for help when they
need to and;
 Accept both their own
strengths and
weaknesses.

What is social health?  Social health has to do with a


persons ability to develop fruitful
and happy relationship depends
on certain factors. These
includes:
 The ability to make self-
sacrifices particularly
when it comes to giving
one’s time energy.
 A healthy self-image that
allows a person to
maintain healthy
relationships with self-
confidence and;
 A strong sense of
identity, which allows a
person to grow and
thrive alongside others.

What is hygiene?  The things that you do to keep


yourself and your surroundings
clean in order to maintain good
health.

What is coping?  Dealing with problems and


difficult situations by trying to
come up with solutions.

What is stress?  A state of mental tension and


worry caused by problems at
home, work, and other life
activities.

What is thrive?  To prosper or do well.

D. Elaboration

The teacher will challenge the students to answer the


following questions.

sacrifices particularly when it
comes to giving one’s time
