Design using
Verilog
Course objectives: This course will enable students to understand the concepts of Verilog
language and design the digital systems as an activity in a larger systems design context.
Unit II Gate Level Modeling: Introduction, AND Gate Primitive, Module Structure, Other Gate
Primitives, Illustrative Examples, Tri-State Gates, Array of Instances of Primitives, Design of
Flip-flops with Gate Primitives, Delays, Strengths and Construction Resolution, Net Types,
Design of Basic Circuits.
Unit V Components Test and Verification: Test Bench- Combinational Circuit Testing,
Sequential Circuit Testing, Test Bench Techniques, Design Verification, Assertion Verification.
Factoring, Decomposition, BDD, Ordered BDD, LPDD, Fault Detection and Analysis in
combinational and sequential systems.
