PRAYERS FOR THE DECEASED: We pray for our loved ones who have died recently
especially Melanie McCanna Ward and Lynda Mahusky.
PRAYERS FOR THE SICK AND SHUT-IN: “Let us raise up in prayer those who seek God’s healing
love, those at the hospital, hospice and at home especially Elva Curry and Rita Boldt.
THANK YOU: Our Holy Week and Easter weekend liturgies have been celebrated for another year.
With the generosity of so many parishioners
parishioners we have truly been blessed with amazing opportunities to
gratitude
celebrate our faith. May I express not only my own gratitud e to all who participated but pass on as well
the positive comments of many who have commented on the significance of these fait faith
h-filled moments.
CHILDREN’S BULLETINS: Parents, please note that the Children’s Bulletins are now on the table at the back
of the church and will no longer be given at the Children’s Liturgy. Please encourage your children to pick up
a weekly copy and enjoy it throughout the week.
CHALICE: On May 7-8, please welcome Deacon Ron Jenkins who will speak about CHALICE –
a Canadian, Catholic sponsorship program. Deacon Ron was ordained in 1988 in the Arch-
diocese of Halifax. He has traveled to missions in South America, Haiti, Africa and Ukraine.
He has been a speaker with CHALICE since 1994 and his full time ministry is Coordinator of
Appeals. He has given numerous retreats, workshops and presentations to Catholic Schools
and other Roman Catholic organizations across Canada. Deacon Ron resides in Hamilton,
Ontario. He will explain how you can help a destitute child at one of 48 mission sites in 15

baking talents so that we may continue to make our parish supper a great community event. at 7 p.m.

To date approximately 1669 books have been distributed and some monies returned. Thank you for
your tremendous ongoing support!! We are requesting that all outstanding tickets, sold or unsold, be
returned via the collection baskets or the church office by May 29 th. This gives us two weeks before
the draw to sell any that are left. To all who have worked so hard to help us reach our goal of a sell-
out...the volunteers, the buyers, and the sellers, your dedication to the Parish is to be commended and
