Roxas Memorial School SpED

Location of the School: Brgy. Tanque Roxas City

Date of Visit: February 28, 2016

The display board was placed outside and in front of the room which is highly visible and
accessible for students, parents and stake holders. The display board are proportion to the height and
size of the wall.

The display is about the theme for the month which is the month of the Hearts- The Valentine
Day. The borders are visible, the colors of the board are in harmony with the wall and the prints are
friendly to the eyes. The information’s are simple, and understandable for all the audience.

The materials used in making prints are cartolina and pictures. The prints are correctly spelled,
grammatically free from errors, simple and friendly to common audience. Pictures are proportion to the
size of the board and the colors are cool to the eye. The borders were made wood and covered with
cartolina that defines the edges and corners of the board.

Brief Description of the Bulletin Board:

The bulletin board in located outside the classroom, in front of the pupil’s classrooms. It is highly
accessible/ and visible to all the school personnel parents and students. The colors of the boards, the
prints and illustrations are very eye catchy and friendly.
The pictures and prints are very simple and the messages are very understandable for everyone.
The ideas are at level of the pupils and of the parents. I can say that the board display is successful to
convey its message for everyone, which is to greet and share love for everybody even if Valentines
Month is over. It convince the readers to give love for everyone at all times.

The board is well tacked on the wall. The prints and pictures are protected by a stained class that
covers the whole board. I suggest that the display board will encourage everyone to contribute in the
making of the monthly theme which will be posted on the boards monthly too. In this way, all school will
encourage to do their job as part of the community of learners.

EVALUATION

I could say that the board I have chosen is nearly perfect for it considers the art of making an
efficient yet effective boards in school. If I would rate it, it will be 98 %.

Your Analysis

Did the board display design reflect the likes/ interests of its target audience?

Why? Why not?

The board display is surely reflecting the likes/ interest of the whole audience. This is because the
colors are eye catchy, the prints are attractive and simple to understand, and the message is convincing.

Was the language used clear and simple for the target audience to understand? Why? Why not?
The language used is clear and simple to be understood by pupils, parents, teachers and other stake
holders. The prints are colorful and matches with the board and the wall.

What do you think was the purpose of the board display? Was it effective? Why? Why not?

The board would like to remind everyone about Valentines months and convinced everyone to give love
all the time. It is effective to the pupils for it is more of visuals and less of prints. Children at early age are
very visuals and highly appreciative of visual prints. They remember things with more visual reminders
rather than prints.

What suggestions can you make?

I suggest to involve students, parents, teachers and other stake holders in making the bulletin boards in
monthly basis. In this way, the boards will be functional, meaning and owned by everyone. The subtle
way to inculcate patriotism in school is to involve all as community of learners.

Information to the readers and it is visible to everyone. Message were clear enough

as I read it and it can also easily understood because there were no misspelled word

Images can be seen from a good distance and arranged so stability is perceived.

Colors were very cogent and hold interest. It has an attractive color depending on

It is well organized and categorized according to content areas, sports and even

The materials used in the display have a high quality but others were not that can last

for a long period of time

So far, there are no errors I’ve notice because as far as I know, it is made mostly by the
Teacher.

6. Borders, if any

I appreciated much the boarders of each bulletin board because it has different designs.

7. Clarity of messages

It is visible and readable.

My Analysis

Describe the board display design in term s of raising the target audience’s interests.

The style, selection of colors and materials, the title and the theme of the board display seem

to be a teacher made. Since it is made by the teacher, I can say that everything being posted

are being reflected on the likes and interest of both students, teachers as well as parents who

are the main target.

Use of language in making the target audience understands of the information

Commonly, English is the main language use as what I’ve observed. The font and size of the

words were formal enough to read and it can clearly seen. The words used are appropriate to

the level of the learners.


The intention of the Board Display

In my point of view, Board display is for giving information to the viewers or readers and convey

information. It is also serves as motivation tool for the students. By it designs, it holds

Information and provide learning.

My Suggestion(s)

I suggest that the bulletin board should have a right arrangements and proper sequence in

giving and posting of information.
