 Justification
Museums have the power to support artists not just by giving them
exhibitions, but by acquiring their work, as well. By embracing artwork by a
diverse group of practitioners, museums can create a more equitable public

Museums help teach the state, local or core curriculum, tailoring their
programs in math, science, art, literacy, language arts, history, civics and
government, economics and financial literacy, geography and social studies to
meet state, local and national standards.

Museums can increase our sense of wellbeing, help us feel proud of where
