hear the words “North Star” or Polaris.

constellations.

B. Procedures 6. The teacher will have the students type in the chat box about
what they thought was very interesting about the two videos
they watched.
7. The teacher will read aloud what the students has typed in the
chat box for a discussion.
8. The teacher will ask the students to then show the constellation
passage in tier camera, so that I knew that the students had it
out.
9. The teacher will have it on the screen for the students that forgot
their science folder at school.
10. The teacher will began reading the passage about the
constellations.
11. The teacher will read the passage and tell the students what they
must highlight in each paragraph.
12. After the teacher is done reading, the teacher will see if the
students have any questions before they take the test.

13. The teacher will tell the students to go into their science google
classroom and to begin their science test.

C. Differentiation Process:
 The students will be able to use their passages while taking the test.

D. Closure  If we were in person, the students would make their own

constellations and describe why they would want their constellation

VIII. Self-Evaluation What went well.

In this lesson, it was very hard to adapt to because teaching online
to 22 students is very difficult. All the students were able to get on
by 9:30 when class started. Before I started my lesson with the
students, Mrs. Young explained to them that today was going to be
different and that we would be doing science today. When I started
my lesson, when I asked the students about what they thought was
interesting or very cool. They were able to answer that question in
the chat box and I was able to make a discussion with the students
answers they gave me. Another thing that went well in this lesson is
that some of the students were able to follow along and the students
that were able to follow along did well with the test afterwards.
Overall, it is very hard to teach online and not be able to help the
students right away because we aren’t there with them.
What didn’t go well.
One thing that did not go well with this lesson is that when I would
be reading the passage to the students, some students would raise
their hands and ask where I was at with reading the passage. At the
point Mrs. Young would chime and say, “well if you do not know
where Ms. Mittler is in the passage that does not mean you are
following along, and you will have to figure out where they are in
the passage.” When she was done talking, I made sure every student
knew where I was reading in the passage and made them show me
what paragraph I was in, then I began to finish reading the
paragraph.
Something that I could do different.
Something that I would do different in this lesson is that I would
pull the passage up on the computer and read it from there and have
my cursor go along each sentence in the paragraph. This would help
the students follow along while I am reading it to them. Also,
another thing I would do different is that I would stop after each
paragraph and tell the students what to highlight and then ask them
to give me a thumbs up in the camera, so I knew that they had it.
Instead of going back after reading the whole passage and going
through eat paragraph because the students would tell me that they
would not see that in the paragraph.
