I- OBJECTIVES:

At the end of the teaching-learning process, 90% of the learners are expected to:

Cognitive:
• Define search engine;
• Identify the commonly used search engines;
 Identify the parts of a search engine homepage;
 Enumerate the steps on how to research using a search engine.

Affective:
• Reflect on the importance of using search engine through active participation on
any given activity/task.

Psychomotor:
• Use a search engine in finding information and resources.

III- PROCEDURES:

A. ACTIVITY: LOGO GAME

Ask the students to identify the search engine as shown by each logo. Let them use
the given scrambled letters as clue in finding out the answer.

B. ANALYSIS:
 Based on the given activity, what are search engines used for?
 Which of these (search engine) do you use most often?
 Is search engine also important in answering your learning module? Why/Why not?

C. ABSTRACTION

A search engine is a website through which users can search internet content. To do
this, users enter the desired search term into the search field. The search engine then looks
through its index for relevant websites and displays them in the form of a list.
Search engines essentially act as filters for the wealth of information available on the
internet. They allow users to quickly and easily find information that is of genuine interest or
value, without the need to wade through numerous irrelevant web pages.
