(establishing a purpose for the
lesson) The teacher will be showing a set of pictures focused on methods on collecting data. The students need
to stand up once the method is correct and seat down if the method is incorrect.

examples/ instances of the new
lesson) The teacher will open the topic about the research, collection of data and relate it to the specific
discipline.

Interpretation is the process of attaching meaning to the data. After identifying and analyzing, coding and
organizing a presentation, and identifying the themes and patterns, the next step is to interpret the
results.

For sample results for 3 levels of interpretation, see attached sample of chapter 4 came from De Leon
2021 in his thesis entitled ‘The performance standards of Senior High Learners’

Three Levels of Interpretation

Description
It refers to the actual explanation of the figure based on the highest, lowest and the totality results.

Related Literature and Studies

It is focused on the ideas related or contradicted with the existing articles searched and paraphrased by
the researcher.

Implications
This refers to the relevance of results from the given study that will help the readers to see the
usefulness of a research paper.
D. Discussing new concepts and Show it Now!
practicing new skills, sub-
activity #1 The teacher will show statements about levels of illustration in interpreting the data

The teacher will show statements about levels of interpreting data. The student will raise “thumbs up” if
the picture suits to its levels, otherwise, thumbs down.

G. Application (Developing What’s More
mastery)
The teacher will give them the situation to interpret the data in three levels of interpretation
(description, an article, implication). The groupings are based on the column line of learners.

Note: The teacher will remind the student about the minimum health standards in the classroom

For Group 1

The learners are tallied data about the description

Assigned task: They need to compute for the totality mean and give description of the performance
standards of Senior High Learners

For Group 2

Assigned task: They need to compute for the totality mean and look for an article about the
performance standards of Senior High Learners

For Group 3

Assigned Task: They need to compute for the totality mean and state the implication about the
performance standards of Senior High Learners.

H. Valuing (Finding practical The teacher will ask the students a question:
applications of concepts and
skills in daily living) Why is it important for a student like you to gather, understand and analyze a data?
