Procedure
Superposition Principle
1. Connect the circuit as per the circuit diagram.
2. Connect the circuit with single independent source note down the required
current/ Voltage.
3. Repeat the step 2 for all independent sources and measure the required
metric.
4. Connect the circuit with all sources and note down the required
current/voltage
5. Verify the practical results with theoretical results.

Thevenin’s and Norton’s Theorem

1. Connect the circuit as per the circuit diagram.
2. Remove the load and short the voltage and open the current sources
(independent DC).
3. Measure the Thevenin’s equivalent resistance RTH.
4. Connect the sources and measure the Thevenin’s voltage VTH by keeping the
load open and Norton’s current IN across by short circuiting the load.
5. Add the load resistor RL and measure the load voltage VL and current IL
6. Verify the practical results with theoretical results.

Precautions

1. Check for proper colour coding of resistors.

2. Choose the measuring meters according to the range (theoretical).
3. The terminal of the each component and the ground should be properly
connected.
4. Make sure for proper connections before switching ON the supply.
