Write place value of the underlined digit

Place value = face value X position of digit

Eg: 1) 23,34,567 - 4 X1,000 = 4,000
2) 70,04,675 - 7 ×10,00,000= 70,00,000
3) 32,85,693 - 8×10,000 = 80,000
Write place value of the underlined digit:

1) 4,89,00,227
80,00,000 ( Eighty lakh)

2) 3,81,73,255
70,000 (Seventy thousand)
3) 62, 88,37,247
2,00,00,000 (Two crore)
Comparing numbers

STEP 1 :
If the given numbers have different number of
digits, then the number with more digits is
greater.
eg: 8,32,24, 142 < 34,12,09,345
STEP 2:
If the number of digits is same in the two
given numbers, then compare the digit at
the leftmost place. The number with the
greater digit at that place will be greater.
Eg:8,64,32,799 > 6, 43,21,147
,
STEP 3 :
If the digit at the leftmost place is also
the same, then observe the next digit. The
number with the greater digit at that place
will be greater.
Ex: 6,74,53,004 < 6,74,82,766
STEP 4 :
Repeat the process until you get
different digits in the same place.
Compare the following numbers by putting
appropriate symbol(< ,> , =)
1. 22,05,00,654 < 22,35,08,111
2. 52,16,032 > 5,24,300
3. 7,68,543 > 7,68,523
4. 10,43,257 < 10,49,845
5. 3,26,00,994 = 3,26,00,994
COMPARE:
1) 84,23,456 > 6, 99, 277

2) 3,00,65,820 > 3,00,56,111

3) 98, 70,000 < 98,70, 4 8 2

4) 24,41,376 = 24,41,376
