    A GENERAL
    1 Submitted detail information (type, make, material etc.) of the Y N NA
    proposed water storage tank to and approved by OIC and DWS
    2 Submitted the name of authorised local supplier, specialist (listing Y N NA
    name) and the contractor to OIC prior to any installation work
    3 Submitted the shop drawings inclusive of proposed water Y N NA
    pumping system to and approved by OIC and DWS
    4 Tanks are tested for strength and water tightness as required by Y N NA
    DWS
    5 Provided enough working space, access door, ladder and lights at Y N NA
    water tank area for any future repair and maintenance
    B INSTALLATION
    1 All water tanks are installed strictly in accordance with Y N NA
    manufacturer's instructions and requirements
    2 For water tanks installed in the ceiling void, warning pipes and Y N NA
    drip trays with proper discharge are provided to prevent water
    from damaging the ceiling board and other services
    3 For water tank installed outside the building, overhead shelters Y N NA
    and security fencing are provided
    4 Individual water storage tank is provided and installed for each Y N NA
    unit within the flat
    5 Bypass system of pipe works with control valves, a non return Y N NA
    valve and a vent pipe is provided at the discharge pipe of the
    storage tank to prevent air lock
    6 Installed warning pipe and drain pipe (to discharge water Y N NA
    properly to nearby drain)
    7 All support structures for the water tank are installed as per Y N NA
    manufacturer's instructions and requirements
    8 Water tank's level indicator installed Y N NA
    9 Separate water storage tank is provided for fire hose reel Y N NA
