1.0 Set an impactful introduction of your presentation - apply the I.N.T.R.O Principle.
1.1 Introduction – always give a clear ‘big-picture’ of your presentation to set the right
‘mind-frame’ in your audience with regards to your presentation elements
1.2 Needs – always create the awareness in your audience on the importance of your
presentation elements
1.3 Time – always deliver your presentation in a timely manner by applying the ‘K.I.S.S’
Principle (Keep It Short and Simple)
1.4 Response – always provide an opportunity for interaction (i.e. discussion,
constructive feedback, Q&A, etc)
1.5 Outcome – always drive the audience towards desired outcomes of the
presentation.
2.0 Deliver a high impact presentation – apply the SIX (6) essential steps
2.1 Step 1: Make the first presentation impression to last forever.
o Apply the right opening for the right objective.
o Create an opened and interactive environment.
o Minimise presenter’s and audience’s anxiety.
o Portray a comfortable verbal and non-verbal communication styles.
o Demonstrate active listening.

2.2 Step 2: Create the right focus-mind in the target audience by setting the right
expectations of the presentation
o Emphasise the objectives of the presentation
o Emphasise the expected outcome of the presentation
2.3 Step 3: Develop learner’s interest towards learning.
o Develop interest ‘grabbers’ (i.e. short experiential activities, video clip,
statistics, current findings, etc).
o Develop illustrative presentation aids (i.e. illustrative PowerPoint presentation
slides).
o Ensure ‘sensory’ presentation experience where audience SEE, THINK, LISTEN
and FEEL to buy-in presentation elements.
2.4 Step 4: Present your information in a systematically structured manner to enable
the audience to follow through your presentation in a sequential approach.
o Develop a logical presentation framework
o Present in a ‘bit-by-bit’ manner and in digestible chunks
2.5 Step 5: Handle Q&A session tactfully.
o Initiate Q&A session
o Facilitate overwhelming Q&A session tactfully
o Handle difficult questions professionally
2.6 Step 6: End the presentation with a ‘BANG’ – people remember what they hear
last.
o Emphasise on why should audience buy-in the presentation elements
o Emphasise on action plan
3.0 The 4R’s Principle to handle difficult audience tactfully and professionally
3.1 1st R: RECEIVE your audience without negative pre-judgment
3.2 2nd R: Build RAPPORT with your audience professionally
3.3 3rd R: REFRAME your own and/ or your audience thoughts on certain information
3.4 4th R: REINFORCE the right action

This course aids in developing the awareness, knowledge, skills, and attitudes of participants that
are needed to deliver effective professional presentations. It is designed so that participants
understand the theory of good communication before preparing and delivering a presentation.
The course is divided into what good communication is, how to prepare an effective presentation,
and delivering your presentation so that you can achieve the highest impact on your audience.
