I. OBJECTIVES

A. Content Standard demonstrates an understanding of the nature of and prevention


of diseases

B. Performance Standard consistently practices healthy habits to prevent and control


diseases

C. Learning Competencies The learner demonstrates good self-management and good


decision making-skills to prevent common diseases (H3DD-IIij-
8)

D. Lesson Objectives At the end of the lesson, the student should be able to;

● Identify properly the habits to prevent and control


diseases through an activity.

● Cite correctly the proper ways on how to prevent


common diseases through picture identification.

● Execute properly the proper ways on how to prevent


common childhood diseases through actions.

Teacher’s Activity

Prayer - Good morning class, before we start. I am


requesting everybody to please stand for
our prayer.
- In the name of the father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, Amen. Lord, we thank
you for this day, for all the blessings and
keep us safe always. Amen. In the name of
the Father and of the Son and of the Holy
Spirit, Amen.

Greetings - The teacher will greet the students a good


morning/ Good afternoon and introduce
herself.
- The teacher will ask the pupils on how they
feel today, what is the weather for today
and what day is today.

Attendance - Checking of attendance


- For the attendance, the teacher will instruct
the students that they will raise their right
hand and tell their favorite food if their name
was called.

Classroom Rules - Presenting of classroom rules.


- The teacher will show/project the classroom
rules and tell the pupils to read it altogether.

● Raise your hand if you want to answer.


● Be quiet when someone is talking.
● Pay attention to the lesson.
● Participate and enjoy in the discussion.

A. Reviewing the previous lesson - The teacher will ask the pupils what is the
lesson all about last meeting?
- The teacher will ask If they have understood
the previous lesson and let the students
give an example regarding the topic.

B. Establishing the Purpose of the MOTIVATIONAL

called, “SUPPLY THE STORY”.

story about the proper way to take good care of
your health and to avoid diseases.

day/every weekend?

3. How many times do you take a bath daily?

4. How many hours do you sleep?

After the activity, the teacher will pick a pair to


share their answers to the class.

E. Developing the concepts - The teacher will show another activity called
“WHAT’S MY PURPOSE?”
- The teacher will show a different thing to the
students and all they have to do is to tell
what is the purpose and use of such thing
and why do we need it.
